9 Celebrities Who Called Out Misbehaving Fans In Public

Celebrities are public figures, which means that much of their personal lives are scrutinised. That does not, however, imply that we have a claim on them or that they are obligated to us. Over the years, some fans have assumed the opposite and have been rightfully criticised for it. We all go all fan girl when we see our favourite on-screen stars, but that doesn’t mean we should dismiss them as humans and treat them like robots.

Below are few incidents, celebrities lost their temper over their fans and took serious actions against them:

1. Salman Khan once slapped an admirer who sought to hug and kiss the star because he was very pleased to see him

During a Bodyguard marketing event, a fan in his twenties attempted to go too close to the actor. Salman, on the other hand, was reportedly annoyed by the man’s behaviour and slapped him.

2. Priyanka Chopra said in an interview that she once slapped a fan on movie set for disrespecting her

“I slap a lot. I think once a fan misbehaved with me, I don’t know if he was a fan but, I came out of my trailer when I was shooting for Anjaana Anjaani. He just came and held my arms. I am very good with taking pictures and everything, but I don’t like physically being touched. So he just held my hand and started asking for pictures. I got really scared so I grabbed his collar and slapped him. Then I got so scared, I ran away.”

4. A fan forcibly tried to take selfie with SRK

5. Atif Aslam once stopped a concert to stop some pervert fans who were harassing women

Atif paused his live performance to inquire if the unpleasant elements had ever seen a woman. His crew then assisted the women in exiting the congested area.

6. While publicizing her film Baadshaho, Ileana D’Cruz was forced to take to Twitter after a spectator acted inappropriately with her

The actress said in a series of Tweets that while she understands the disadvantages of being a star, it doesn’t mean it’s okay to treat her unjustly.

“I’m a public figure. I understand that I don’t have the luxury of a private and an anonymous life… But that doesn’t give any man the right to misbehave with me. Don’t confuse ‘fan antics’ with that. I am a WOMAN at the end of the day.”

I said listen don’t, what do you think you are doing? This is wrong. Then he said sorry can I have a selfie, I said no you can’t, behave yourself.”

9. Sushmita Sen once grabbed neck of a kid who was acting improperly around her and gave him a good practical lesson regarding this behaviour

“A fifteen-year-old boy misbehaved with me as he thought I wouldn’t realise because of the crowd around. But, he was wrong. I grabbed his hand from my behind and I was shocked to see he was so young. I held him by his neck and took him for a walk. I told him if I make a hue and cry, his life would be over. He denied having misbehaved at first, but I sternly told him to acknowledge. He realised his mistake, said sorry, and promised me that it will never happen again. I didn’t take any action against him because I understood that the 15-year-old was not taught that such things are an offence and not entertainment.”
