The UAE introduced a long-term residence scheme in 2019, allowing foreigners to live, work, and study in the country. This also removed the requirement for a national sponsor, allowing foreigners to control their firms outright.

Investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals are eligible for the Golden Visa. The goal of this programme was to attract foreign investment and the greatest talent to the country. It has a ten-year term and is automatically renewed. Let’s see who among Indian celebrities has a UAE Golden Visa.

1. Shah Rukh Khan

The King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, was the first Indian actor to receive a UAE visa. In 2016, he also became the brand ambassador for Dubai. Shah Rukh Khan also has a villa worth 100 crores on the Palm Jumeira in Dubai.

2. Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan was granted a 10-year golden visa in the year 2021. Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a photo with the message, “Having shot many films in the UAE, I can attest to the fact that it is an excellent location for filming. I am really grateful to the UAE government for providing me with a golden visa.”

3. Urvashi Rautela

Urvashi Rautela is the first Indian woman to acquire a golden visa in less than 12 hours. She announced it on Instagram with the comment, “I am the first Indian woman to receive a 10-year golden visa in under 12 hours. I am deeply appreciative for my and my family’s excellent affinity with Swarna Niwas. My warmest greetings to the UAE government, rulers, and citizens.”

4. Neha Kakkar

Last year, singer Neha Kakkar and her spouse Rohanpreet Singh were also granted a Dubai visa. She posted a photo on Instagram of her and Rohanpreet Singh collecting the award from the officials. She stated, “I’m ecstatic to get the GOLDEN VISA from the UAE, a nation I adore. @filmdubai & @aljanahi sir, thank you for constantly supporting artists, musicians, and creative people from all walks of life!”

5. Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood has often proven to be a Messiah for those in need. He has always been there, whether assisting migrants in the first wave or assisting Indian students detained in Ukraine in safely returning home.

Sonu Sood is the latest Indian celebrity to be granted a golden visa. He stated that after receiving the visa, “The Dubai government has given me a golden visa, which I am quite happy for. Dubai has always been one of my favourite places to visit. It’s an exciting place to be. I appreciate the opportunity provided by the authorities.”

6. Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh is one of Bollywood’s most talented performers, as well as one of the few celebrities with a UAE visa. Ranveer Singh was named the brand ambassador of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, which came with a 10-year golden visa for him and his family.

Mouni Roy made her acting debut in the TV serial Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and has since appeared in films such as Gold and Naagin. She also has a role in the upcoming movie Brahmstra. Last year, she was also granted a golden visa.
