Shiv Parekh, Founder – hBits
With a family background in real estate, Parekh founded hBits, India’s tech-enabled fractional property ownership platform, in 2019. Rent-generating commercial real estate, such as office buildings, can be purchased for as little as $30,000. hBits claimed to have $20 million in assets under control and 30,000 registered users as of the end of last year.
Samyak Jain and Sowmay Jain, Cofounders – Instadapp Labs
The Jain brothers dropped out of college in 2018 to cofound Instadapp, which was awarded first place at the ETHIndia hackathon. Instadapp streamlines how customers interact with numerous decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols by acting as a “middleware” layer, letting developers to design interoperable applications between protocols and payment gateways.
Lavika Aggarwal and Sajal Khanna, Cofounders – Akudo
Aggarwal and Khanna created Akudo with Jagveer Gandhi in the year 2020. (age 30). Prepaid debit cards are available from the digital bank for teenagers, who can use them to manage their finances and save money. Akudo, whose name in Nigerian Igbo means “peaceful fortune,” has already garnered $4.2 million in seed funding backed by Y-Combinator.
Rohan Nayak, Cofounder – Pocket FM
With cofounders Nishanth K S and Prateek Dixit, Nayak has produced and distributed over 100,000 hours of longform video in eight languages on issues ranging from entertainment to education. The Bangalore-based startup has received $94 million in funding from investors such as Goodwater Capital, Tanglin Venture Partners, and Lightspeed India Partners.
Trinetra Haldar Gummaraju, Content creator
Gummaraju, one of India’s first openly transgender doctors, addresses social, medical, and legal issues through her social media outlets, which have a total viewership of around 250,000. She wants to increase visibility of LGBTQIA+ people in the mainstream as well as raise knowledge of trans rights, issues, and life in general.
Vivan Marwaha, Author
Marwaha wrote the book ‘What Millennials Want,’ which is about millennials in India. He travelled over 30,000 kilometres throughout 13 Indian states for his book, interviewing over 900 millennials, educators, corporate executives, and government officials about their views on sex, marriage, work, politics, and religion.
Masoom Minawala, Content creator
The social media influencer exploited her notoriety to start Style Fiesta, an e-commerce site, and has since expanded her brand globally, encouraging Indian designers. As the first Indian fashion blogger to visit Paris Fashion Week, she made history.
Ranveer Allahbadia and Viraj Sheth, Cofounders – Monk Entertainment
Sheth and Allahbadia founded Monk-E, a talent agency and digital marketing firm that offers services such as talent management, video creation, social media management, and influencer marketing.
Soniya Kundnani and Darshan Shah, Cofounders – NewsReach
Soniya Kundnani and Darshan Shah founded NewsReach, India’s first content marketplace for local reporters and publishers, in 2018. Local news publishers in rural and semi-urban areas can use the company’s services to help them digitise their content and monetize it through advertising and licencing.

Shreya Patel, a model-turned-filmmaker and mental health advocate, looks into tales that offer voice to those who don’t have one. ‘Girl Up,’ her first feature film as the founder of Window Dreams Productions, was about domestic violence and human trafficking.
Shlok Srivastava, Founder – Tech Burner
About eight years ago, Srivastava began making YouTube videos. His Tech Burner YouTube channel, which features gadget reviews, how-tos, and life tips, currently has 8.3 million subscribers and millions of monthly visitors.
Ravish Agrawal, Swatantra Kumar and Siddharth Srivastava, Cofounders – Able Jobs
The Able Professions app prepares graduates for sales, operations, and marketing jobs, and the company claims that its training has helped more than 25,000 people find work. It also helps companies hire from start to finish, and WhiteHat Jr, BigBasket, and Sharechat use it for entry-level roles. Ravish Agrawal, Siddharth Srivastava, and Swatantra Kumar cofounded it in 2019.
Shreyans Sancheti and Harish Uthayakumar, Cofounders – Bluelearn
BlueLearn was launched in 2020 by Harish Uthayakumar and Shreyans Sancheti as a Telegram community for students seeking answers to challenges while still in college. They created a social platform that allows students to learn real-world skills for free from experts, join interest clubs, and network with their peers, recognising the need to overhaul archaic education standards at community colleges.
Jhansi Elango, Co-CEO – Chutney
HumBee, a social networking service established in Bangalore, allowing users to meet and get to know one another anonymously online. Because users, particularly women, are regularly susceptible to privacy issues, stalkers, and societal judgement, HumBee promises to be safer than other dating applications.
Shourya Agarwal, Rajat Gupta and Malhar Patil, Cofounders – Flam
Flam is an augmented reality-based social networking media company that specialises in sharing films made from still images. It was formed by three BITS Pilani graduates in May 2021. Only two months after its start, Flam received $3.5 million in venture capital from Silicon Valley Quad and Inventus Capital Partners SV.
Hardik Bansal, Harsh Vardhan Chhangani and Bhanu Pratap Singh Tanwar, Cofounders – FRND
In 2019, Harshvardhan Chhangani and Hardik Bansal cofounded FRND with Bhanu Pratap Singh Tanwar, an investment banking analyst turned entrepreneur. FRND is a social discovery and audio dating app aimed towards Indians and others in South Asia.
Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash Jonnalagadda, Founder – Bhanzu
Bhanzu, a commercial ed-tech firm formed by Jonnalagadda, a math genius, was founded in 2020 to remove worldwide math phobia and transform students’ attitudes of arithmetic. He claims that the Bhanzu style of learning aids in the development of math skills in children.
Harshit Awasthi, Ahmad Faraaz and Sashakt Tripathi, Cofounders – Kalam Labs
Ahmad Faraaz, Sashakt Tripathi, and Harshit Awasth are constructing a STEM metaverse for pupils aged 6 to 14. Kalam Labs teaches youngsters about science themes like as space and dinosaurs while also allowing them to connect with educators via live video and chat.
Javed Khatri, Chief Product Officer – eBikeGo
According to Khatri, he and his team are developing the world’s first electric vehicle operating system that includes gamification and carbon credits. Since its beginning in 2019, eBikeGo claims to have saved more than 7.5 million kg of CO2 emissions with its rental fleet of electric two-wheelers.
Arnav Kishore, Founder – Fireboltt
In the year 2019, Kishore and his sister Aayushi founded Fireboltt, a wristwatch and audio startup. The company is currently ranked third in India’s smartwatch industry, with sales of $75 million this year and $150 million expected next year. The brand has been marketed by celebrities such as former Indian cricket captain Virat Kolhi and Bollywood actor Vickey Kaushal.
Bhavya Gohil and Atur Mehta, Cofounders – Square Off
Square Off, a smart robotic chess board that was founded in 2015, allows users to play anyone, anywhere on an actual board that physically moves the pieces while also supporting users in learning the game. By 2020, Square Off had sold about 25,000 sets, mostly online, courtesy to software that united 50 million players around the world via Chess.com and Lichess.
Sujay Suresh Kumar, Cofounder – Lilu
Suresh Kumar co-founded Lilu in 2016, patenting a massaging bra and pump to assist new moms in extracting more breast milk with less effort using a hands-free approach. Y-Combinator, Ad Astra Ventures, and WeWork Labs, among others, provided Lilu with funding and support.
Pubarun Basu, Photographer
Basu has been photography since he was four years old, and he sees his youth as a benefit in the field, since it allows him to observe things from a fresh and unfiltered viewpoint. Basu’s photographs of Ganges River life and Indian spirituality have appeared in National Geographic, The Guardian, BBC, and CNN, and he was voted Sony World Photography’s Youth Photographer of the Year.
Alfiya Attarwala and Sarrah Kapasi, Cofounders – D-Alive Health
Attarwala and Kapasi created over 70 edible products to meet certain dietary requirements. D-Alive sells sauces, salad dressings, and sweet snacks in India and ships to the United States and Gulf countries.
Vidur Gupta, Cofounder – Third Eye Distillery
Gupta co-founded Third Eye Distillery, a premium alcohol company based in Goa. Stranger & Sons, the company’s gin brand, was the first Indian gin to win a Gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London in 2020; it was one of just eight gins out of 800 to achieve so.
Harsh Kedia, Founder – A Diabetic Chef
Kedia launched A Diabetic Chef in 2020 after being diagnosed with type 1.5 diabetes at the age of 14. The food sector produces and sells zero-sugar confectionary such as chocolates, spreads, and candies. Sugar-free black and white Belgian chocolates, according to Kedia, are the company’s most popular products, which are offered in over 150 locations across India and on 60 e-commerce platforms.
Osheen Siva, Artist
Siva, a Goa-based multidisciplinary artist, explores themes of queer and feminine power through several genres. Siva’s work has been featured in Vogue India and Architectural Digest, as well as at the London Design Week 2017, NY Asian Film Festival 2018, Serendipity Arts Festival 2019 in Goa, and AUYI 2020 in Paris. The clients include Absolut, Gucci, Vans, Converse, Levi’s, and WhatsApp.
Pallav Bihani, Founder – Boldfit
With a $15,000 loan from his father, Bihani created the Indian healthcare and fitness firm Boldfit as part of the family-owned medical equipment and pharmaceutical company Sasvat Group in 2019. Boldfit, which has since changed ownership, claims to have 2.5 million online clients and sells health supplements, fitness equipment, nutritional meals, and ayurvedic items.
Raunaq Singh Anand and Rhea Singh Anand, Cofounders – Flexnest
Flexnest was formed by Rhea and Raunaq Anand, a husband and wife team, in January 2021 to sell high-quality exercise equipment directly to Indian consumers and stream workout sessions. Flexnest produced $2.5 million in sales last year, and based on strong January sales, the pair hopes to make more than $6 million this year.
Anik Bhandari, Siddhant Bhargava, Anirudh Ganeriwal and Devaj Jhunjhunwala, Cofounders – Food Darzee
Food Darzee was started by Bhargava, Jhunjhunwala, and Ganeriwal in 2017 as a dietary-focused meal plan service that has grown into nutritionist services and customisable meal plans. The method can help with a wide range of diets, from keto to vegan, as well as medical conditions including diabetes and obesity.
Abhishek Negi, Cofounder – Eggoz
Negi is the cofounder of Eggoz, a startup that buys fresh, chemical-free eggs from farmers and distributes them to merchants in 12 Indian towns within 24 hours of the eggs being laid. It also hopes to address the supply chain issue in India’s egg industry, where production is concentrated in southern regions and delivery to northern consumers can take up to 4-7 days.
Stuti Gupta, Cofounder – Amrutam
Stuti Gupta and her older brother Agnim (over 30) were instrumental in reviving their father’s floundering ayurvedic healthcare company and transforming it into one of India’s most well-known premium direct-to-consumer wellness and lifestyle businesses. Amrutam claims to have over 100,000 consumers and sells over 140 goods, mostly hair and skincare.
Vedant Lamba, Founder – Mainstreet
Lamba launched Mainstreet Marketplace as a YouTube channel in 2017 and has since developed it to become one of India’s largest marketplaces for sneaker and streetwear resellers. It sells brands including Yeezy, Jordan, Adidas, Nike, Drewhouse, and Supreme, and counts Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor as customers.
Dawn Thomas, Cofounder – V&RO Hospitality
Friends VRO Hospitality was formed by Thomas and his 30-year-old friend Safdhar Adoor, and it presently runs 25 restaurants and bars in Bangalore, Goa, and Mumbai, with hopes to expand to other Indian cities.
Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, Cofounders – Zepto
Palicha and Vohra, both Stanford computer science dropouts, cofounded Zepto, a fast-growing commerce company. The company, which was formed in August 2021, is essentially a unicorn with a valuation of $900 million after its recent $200 million series D sponsored by Y Combinator in May.
Kirti Jangra and Neetu Yadav, Cofounders – Animall
Animall, a company that links cattle buyers and sellers in India, was founded as a weekend project by roommates Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra in 2019. Animall claims to trade tens of thousands of cattle per month in areas as diverse as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Shaily Garg, Founder- GlobalFair Technologies
Shaily Garg, an IIT Bombay alumnus, is on a mission to revolutionise cross-border materials trade by establishing the world’s largest digital-first global building materials supplier. Garg, who comes from a poor manufacturing background in India, and partner Ashish Chandra want to provide South Asian businesses access to global markets (over 30).
Ben K George and Nanma Gireesh, Cofounders – NestAbide
Gireesh and George cofounded NestAbide, which is constructing amphibious houses and other flood-resistant projects for people who live in flood-prone areas. It sits like a typical house on the ground, yet its buoyant foundation lifts it off the ground and allows it to float in floodwaters.
Manav Garg and Kunal Jain, Cofounders – Nexprt
IIT Kunal Jain and Manav Garg, along with Harsha Vardhan Kalipatnapu (over 30), founded Nexprt in 2020 to improve quality and uniformity in India’s manufacturing sector. The company offers manufacturing R&D, design, 3D printing, and process enhancement, among other services.
Anshu Abhishek and Vikram Singh Meena, Cofounders – Techeagle Innovations
TechEagle is a drone company that specialises in long-range, high-speed drones that can deliver huge payloads. It was founded in 2015. Meena’s desire to address the lack of medical facilities in his remote rural community prompted the firm, which has received approval to supply medications and vaccinations from seven Indian states.
Nikhil Tripathi, Cofounder – Bijak
Tripathi cofounded Bijak, a B2B agritech startup based in Gurugram, in 2019. Thanks to the platform, agricultural commodities buyers and sellers benefit from higher prices, enhanced working capital, and improved logistics. It aims to give accountability and transparency to the agricultural value chain through a buyer/seller rating system, allowing traders, wholesalers, and food processors to identify new and trusted trading partners.
Suvrat Bhooshan, Founder – Gan Studio
Gan Studios was launched in 2021 by Suvrat Bhooshan, a Facebook veteran, as an AI-powered personalised messaging service that allows users to produce several tailored messages from a single video. Gan also offers an AI-powered video localization tool that allows users to automatically dub videos in a variety of languages.
Rajit Bhattacharya, Ankit Das and Aisik Paul, Cofounders – Data Sutram
While in their final year of engineering at India’s Jadavpur University, the three cofounded Data Sutram in 2018. The platform captures how people live and behave in any particular location by converting unstructured data sources such as satellites, mobile phones, and point-of-service equipment into insights.
Saya Date, Cofounder – Linecraft AI
Linecraft, situated in Pune, uses technology to gather data from industrial machines and analyse it so that operations can be improved. The startup was part of Sequoia Capital’s Spark Fellowship programme for female founders in Southeast Asia and India.
Prashant Kumar, Cofounder – BarRaiser
Kumar is the cofounder of BarRaiser, an AI-powered recruiting company in India that employs interview templates, auto-scheduling, and data-backed analytics to make the hiring interview process simple and successful. According to BarRaiser, candidates are assessed using more than 200 data points and given a percentile score based on their ability.
Milan Singh and Apoorva Verma, Cofounders – Rattle
Rattle is a no-code platform founded by Apoorva Verma and Milan Singh that blends enterprise tools such as Salesforce with Slack and Teams’ messaging interface. Customers and internal stakeholders would benefit from this since sales and customer service teams will be able to record and use data more efficiently.
Rashid Khan, Cofounder – Yellow.AI
In 2015, Khan founded Yellow.ai, a conversational AI company. Clients can use the company’s unique natural language processing engine to construct chatbots and voice bots in more than 100 languages, which can be used to automate customer care or contact centres.
Namya Mahajan, Siddhant Sachdeva and Vishal Sunil, Cofounders – Rocket Learning
Mahajan, Sunil, and Sachdeva founded the non-profit Rocket Learning to help India’s 75 million underserved, low-income children improve their reading and numeracy skills. Teachers aid parents with video and worksheet tutoring for their children using digital classrooms on a customised WhatsApp platform.
Aditi Arora, Country Manager – India, Girl Up
Girl Up, a UN Foundation initiative created in 2010 to support UN agencies dealing with teenage females, has Arora as its country manager in India. Girl Up claims to have engaged the assistance of over 10,000 young people in 200 Indian cities to promote awareness and advocate for issues like gender-based violence, period poverty, and mental health.
Abhishek Bhattacharya, Cofounder – Whrrl
Whrrl is a blockchain-based agri-lending platform that uses warehouse collateral to provide working capital to small farmers, dealers, and producers. The network is used by over 1,400 warehouses in five Indian states.
Sahil Bansal and Aayush Goel, Cofounders – Kosh
Aayush Goel and his IIT Delhi computer science classmate Sahil Bansal cofounded Kosh, a digital microfinance institute for blue collar workers. They worked at Goldman Sachs and cofounded a B2B sales and marketing platform before establishing Kosh. Kosh has raised $2.8 million in investment from Y Combinator and CIIE.CO.
Jigyasa Labroo, Founder – Slam Out Loud
Slam Out Loud is a non-profit organisation that provides opportunities for children to perform and create visual arts, while also developing confidence, communication, critical thinking, and other life skills. Through its in-person efforts, it has reached 50,000 children in 900 communities across four Indian states.
Shubham Gupta and Rahul Kumar, Cofounders – ConnectedH
ConnectedH was founded in 2018 with the purpose of aiding small and midsize medical diagnostic centres in expanding and digitising their companies. According to the company, the market in India, which has over 100,000 diagnostic centres, is worth $12 billion. With over 150 centres signing up, over 200 network laboratories, and 85,000 clients serviced last year, ConnectedH claims to have more than tenfold boosted revenue.
Prasanna Date, Research Scientist – Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Date is developing new quantum machine learning algorithms that are expected to beat current technologies. His study intends to make data analysis in scientific and consumer applications such as high-energy physics and self-driving cars faster and more successful.
Aman Bhandula and Kaishu Sahu, Cofounders – Farmako
Aman Bhandula and Kaishu Sahu cofounded Farmako, which allows laboratories and clinics to communicate information with patients through a centralised, digital system. Patients communicate with one another using WhatsApp to schedule appointments and receive lab results. After being approved to work full-time on Farmako, Bhandula left Y Combinator.
Prasanth Ganesan, Postdoctoral Researcher – Stanford Medicine
Ganesan is presently working on bioengineering technology that uses signal processing and machine learning to aid patients suffering from atrial fibrillation, the most prevalent cardiac rhythm disorder. He’s also a co-inventor on patents for atrial fibrillation mapping technology that are cutting-edge.
Shrey Jain, Cofounder – HempStreet Medicare
