The first two episodes of the six-part series, which stars Iman Vellani as the Pakistani-American teen Kamala Khan (also known as Ms. Marvel) growing up in Jersey City, New Jersey, were made available to critics from a limited group of foreign outlets.

Courtney Howard, a film reviewer and journalist based in California, cited a dialogue from “Ms. Marvel” when she remarked that after the creators used Shah Rukh’s name and movies like “Baazigar” and “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” in the programme, the series had already become her favourite.

According to Howard, “#MsMarvel episode 2 is the best Marvel series ever because they shout-out BAAZIGAR, DDLJ, and SRK (“There’s no such thing as a bad Shah Rukh Khan movie”).”

“Ms Marvel,” which was directed by Adil El Arbi-Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon, will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in India on June 8. The project’s lead author is Bisha K Ali.

As a South Asian living in London, Haroon Rashid, an entertainment reporter for the BBC Asian Network, expressed his delight at Shah Rukh’s mention in the programme and the inclusion of the Pakistani musician Hasan Raheem’s song “Peechay Hutt” on the “Ms. Marvel” soundtrack.

“I adored the first two episodes of Ms. Marvel. I want to see a South Asian representative, or representation. Fennel covered in sugar, a discussion of @iamsrk’s favourite movie, and Peechay Hutt by @hasanraheeem on the soundtrack. I adore that Kamala Khan is unashamedly brown “Rashid tweeted something.

The BBC’s TV and radio presenter Nikita Kanda also advised her Twitter followers to see “Ms. Marvel.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the first two episodes of #MsMarvel. The mere fact that SRK was mentioned makes me really thrilled to see how well our South Asian culture is portrayed on the big screen—definitely one to add to your watch lists! We are MediaHive, “Added her.

The official storyline states that “Kamala is a voracious reader of fan fiction and a prolific writer, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson in MCU). But until she acquires superpowers like her heroes, Kamala feels out of place at school and occasionally even at home.” The “Ms. Marvel” cast is completed by Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, and Travina Springer.
