Shark Tank is a reality show that airs on ABC. Many entrepreneurs found their dream funding in India, but many others went home empty-handed. And a few, such Ashneer Grover, had to deal with the sharks’ verbal barrage. Several pitchers suffered heartbreak as a result of the entrepreneur’s harsh and nasty remarks. Few people had it worse than Rohit Warrier and Neeti Singhal, whose products were mocked and abused by Ashneer on national television. The internet was split when the two entrepreneurs met recently. Rohit had proposed his invention Sippline on Shark Tank India, but Ashneer slammed it as “wahiyat (sad).” Ashneer described it as the worst product he had ever seen, calling it a useless “glass ka mask.” Similarly, Neeti showcased her company Twee In One, which specialises in reversible clothes that can be customised. Not only did Ashneer reject her, but he also stated that no one would wear her garments.

Niti posted a video of the two entrepreneurs meeting to her Instagram account on Thursday. The footage showed them conversing at a cafe table, but the audio was drowned out by a song. She added the following caption to the video: “Strange pitches? Now it’s not that strange!”

Given their Ashneer connection, social media fans thought the two meeting amusing. “Divided by Shark Tank, united by Ashneer,” wrote one of the followers. “Jab do logon ke dushman ek ho to dosti ho jati hai,” read another comment (When two people have common enemies, they become friends). “Shark tank ke khilaf morcha (united front against Shark Tank),” according to another statement.

Niti said to Hindustan Times in February that despite Ashneer telling her on TV that no one would wear her items, his wife Madhuri did. She’d stated, “‘Mere ghar me to tumhare kapde koi nahi pehenega,’ Ashneer said on the television (Nobody in my house will wear your clothes). His wife Madhuri, on the other hand, was dressed in the dress I gave him on The Kapil Sharma Show. That’s interesting because he constantly says, ‘Yeh sab dogalapana hai,’ but when I saw it, I was reminded of that line.”

Shark Tank India is a reality show in which entrepreneurs present their business ideas to a panel of tycoons known as sharks, who invest and advise in exchange for shares. It broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television on weekdays at 9 p.m. for nearly two months, until February 4, when it was cancelled.
