A disturbing incident from Hyderabad has gone viral, once again raising concerns about women’s safety in public places. A video shows three men riding on a single bike, harassing two young women on a scooty using a peacock feather.
The shameful act was recorded by a couple—Aniketh Shetty and his wife—who were driving in their car right behind the girls.
What Happened?
- The couple noticed three men riding a bike and repeatedly touching the women on the scooty with a peacock feather.
- Shocked, Aniketh rolled down his window and shouted at the men:
“Hey, what are you doing? Why are you harassing them?” - Meanwhile, his wife recorded the entire incident on video, capturing the bike’s number plate as well.
As soon as the men realized they were being filmed, they sped up and left the scene.

Aniketh uploaded the clip on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
“Bike no. TS 13 ES 1865 @CPHydCity @hydcitypolice These 3 pieces of shit were following the girls in front of them and touching them with the peacock feather till I pulled down the window & yelled at them. Would’ve chased them further but the car in front of me didn’t give way.”
“I’m home now and still on an adrenaline rush. If my wife wasn’t in the car, I probably would have done more.”
Tagging Hyderabad Police and local leaders, he appealed:
“Please do something, do not let this beautiful city rot. @revanth_anumula @KTRBRS don’t really care who can really help as long as this shit gets taken care of in the city. It could’ve been my wife, my friends, my office employees. It’s shameful I couldn’t do anything beyond yelling at them.”
Police Response
The video quickly went viral, drawing the attention of the Hyderabad City Police. They asked Aniketh to share the exact location of the incident.
He later confirmed that the harassment took place at Jubilee Hills, Neeru’s signal, and the men sped away near UR Life Studio.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police responded on X, assuring:
“The matter has been forwarded to the concerned team. Strict action will be taken against the offenders.”
