In a statement, N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, confirmed Tata’s passing. “We bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly exceptional leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation,” he remarked, his words filled with deep sadness. He also referred to Ratan Tata as his “friend, mentor, and guide” in the statement.
