Sanjay Dutt’s life has never been a scripted one, but it’s not often that a Bollywood star becomes the surprise heir to a fortune. In a narrative that seems like it belongs in a movie, the actor disclosed that a loyal admirer once handed him property valued at an incredible ₹72 crore. The twist? He gave it all back.

Sanjay was questioned about the widely reported 2018 event with Nisha Patil, a fan who was near death and bequeathed her whole inheritance to the actor, in a recent interview with Curly Tales.
“I gave it back to her family,” Sanjay said, quietly confirming the incredible moment.
What did Sanjay do with all the money?
According to reports, the fan, a 62-year-old housewife from Mumbai, had given her bank instructions to give Dutt her fortune if she passed away. The news’s enormity and feeling at the time had garnered media attention. Years later, Sanjay’s act of returning the bequest is gaining him modest recognition and showcasing a side of the actor that is not always shown on TV.
“I will not be claiming anything. I did not know Nisha and I am very overwhelmed by the entire incident to speak about it.”

Sanjay Dutt, who is well-known for his captivating on-screen persona, has had a turbulent career since making his film debut in Rocky in 1981. Sanjay has seen both enormous fame and personal disappointments, from the well-known flicks Naam, Saajan, Khal Nayak, and Vaastav to the adored Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Due to his legal issues after the 1993 Bombay explosions, he was sentenced to five years in prison, which he finished in 2016.
