Apoorva Makhija is one of India’s most well-known digital content makers and is sometimes referred to as The Rebel Kid. She was raised in a middle-class family and initially pursued an engineering degree. But destiny has other ideas for her. Immediately, her artistic impulses led her along a different path. She stands out from the polished image of traditional influencers thanks to her uncensored, humorous tone in her vlogs, rants, and skits, which causes her to become popular on social media.
Before long, her goals went beyond social media. She tried her hand at acting as well. But in spite of her enormous fame, she is regularly involved in disputes. One of Apoorva’s most trying periods occurred in early 2025 when she was severely criticised for her involvement in India’s Got Latent. Her personal drama that lately came to the public’s attention ensued. In a song, her ex-boyfriend accused her of infidelity and making up things to win others over. As a result, the YouTuber was involved in controversy once more, which sparked online debates.

Utsav Dahiya, Apoorva Mukhija’s ex-boyfriend, wrote a song about Apoorva’s adultery:
Recently, Apoorva Mukhija’s ex-boyfriend Utsav Dahiya attempted to debunk rumours about their relationship by writing and sharing the song “Cute Little Red-Flag” on social media. Utsav asserted in the song that Apoorva had cheated on him and that he wanted to make amends for contentious reasons. He ridiculed the YouTuber, claiming that she only called him “ghatiya” to increase her following and social media engagement.
Captioning the video, he wrote,
Ab agar koi aur bakwaas kari toh main seedha receipts nikalunga.
Furthermore, he went on to indirectly caution Apoorva to never gain sympathy by spreading lies and to assassinate someone’s character for the sake of generating content. He wrote,
Never try to gain sympathy by fabricating lies or pushing false narratives just to make content and to assassinate someone’s character online. Having a big following doesn’t give you the right to bully your way by rage-baiting your audience and unleashing them on others.
Utsav then went on to share his side of the story, saying,
When I was being falsely painted as a cheat and an abuser because of things you said, I reached out to you and your agency hoping to find a way to deal with the hate. Instead, I was told “you’re a nobody, you should be happy you got to date her”. So here’s a message from that ‘nobody’: you tried your level best (and I won’t lie, it wasn’t easy), but I’m still here, still standing. That should tell you something: your big numbers only matter on an app. There’s a real and much bigger world outside – beyond lies and kalesh.
Finally, Utsav stressed that he is still standing alone in spite of everything that has happened to him. Finally, he says,
Truth doesn’t need ‘followers’, it stands on its own. Toh tum chalao apna ghar kalesh se, but kisi ke baare mein jhoot bolna band karo. Baki logo ko life mein dhanke kaam karne do. Grow up, kid. (and here’s a rhyme for you that might be more up your speed …. in case it helps)

The incident in which Apoorva Mukhija referred to her ex-boyfriend as a “Ghatiya” insaan:

It was in 2023 that Apoorva Mukhija and Utsav Dahiya began dating. Between them, everything seems to go so smoothly. They did, however, declare their split at the beginning of 2025. In reference to this, Apoorva wrote,
Most of you all guessed it already, but Utsav and I are not together anymore. I can’t wait for the slut shaming, gold-digging gossip threads on me now. But lesson learned agla jiju reveal shaadi pr kaungi ab.
