In a recent interview, Tanushree Dutta, who gained notoriety for her tearful video two months ago, stated that she had been offered Bigg Boss for the past eleven years. The Chocolate actress disclosed that she declined a Bigg Boss offer of Rs 1.65 crore this time. Tanushree cited the fact that she is not “cheap” to sleep “on the same bed with a man” for the sake of a reality show as the reason for her refusal.

What’s Happening ?

“Do you really think I would go to a show like that?” Tanushree Dutta asked in an interview with Bollywood Thikana. I don’t even stay with my own family; I can’t stay in a house like that. Bigg Boss has never piqued my interest and never will. To participate in the show, they have promised me ₹1.65 crore. Another Bollywood star who is on par with me received the same salary. The Bigg Boss stylist called me as well, asking me to do something and promising to look after my diet. I refused to go, even if they offered me a piece of the moon.

Tanushree continued, “Men and women sleep in the same hall, they sleep there, they fight there…,” showing respect for her privacy and dignity. I am unable to accomplish it. Depending on my energy level, I have highly precise dietary requirements. Do I come off as the type of woman who would share a bed with a man on a reality show? I’m not that cheap. I value the privacy I have. If they let me to work in peace, I’m sure I can make more than that.

Bigg Boss’s 19th season, which is now available for streaming on Jio Hotstar, marks Salman Khan’s comeback. One and a half hours after the streaming, the show airs on Colours.

Tanushree Made Harassment Charges

Tanushree posted a tearful video of herself on Instagram in July, alleging that she has been harassed at home ever since she named Bollywood celebrities during the 2018 #MeToo campaign.

“Guys, I’m being harassed in my own home,” she remarked in the video. I phoned the police just now. I phoned the police because I was worried. The police arrived. To file a formal complaint, they requested that I visit the police station. Most likely, I’ll go tomorrow or the day after. I’m not feeling well. Over the past four to five years, I’ve experienced so much harassment that my health has declined.

Tanushree And The #MeToo

In a Zoom interview in 2018, Tanushree accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually abusing her during the 2009 filming of a special song for their movie Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss. However, Nana refuted every allegation. In 2008, she initially accused the actor in a report to the Cine and TV Artistes Association, but since the situation was deemed a criminal case, nothing was done.

On October 13, 2018, Nitin Satpute, Dutta’s advocate, filed a request at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai, requesting that director Rakesh Sarang, producer Samee Siddiqui, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, and actor Nana Patekar undergo lie detector tests, brain mapping, and narco-analysis.

The police dropped the s*xual harassment accusations against Patekar in June 2019.
