IRCTC has long been a source of controversy for a number of reasons, including overcharging for food and water, mistreating passengers, and not offering assistance when requested. Now, a video of a vendor sobbing while seated on the Vande Bharat train went viral after he described how he put in a lot of overtime but was sacked and made to disembark in Meerut when he was asked for his three-month salary. IRCTC responded to the widely shared video after it went viral, asserting that there had been no wrongful firing.

The vendor claims that he was sacked for requesting his three-monthly salary.
Recently, @trainwalebhaiya posted a video on X. In the video, a vendor boards a Vande Bharat train and explains how his contracting employer sacked him for posting a video about the company’s salary issue.
The caption for the video read:
“Imagine working 14–16 hours daily for just ₹12,000… and then getting fired simply for asking for your salary. This is the condition of vendors in Indian Railways.
No one to listen, no one to care.
@IRCTCofficial @RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw is this fair?”

He began the video by describing how his company’s general manager called him and instructed him to get off at the next station. In another way, he informed him that he had been let go.
“I received a call from the company’s GM, asking to be dropped off at the next station.”
He goes on to say that his manager approached him after this and instructed him to get off the train in Meerut since he had received a call from management.
“My manager came and told me to get off the train at Meerut because he got a call from upper management and was told to tell me to get off the train.”
He went on to say that he has been working hard for this organisation for three months without receiving a wage and for one and a half months. He went on to say that all he wants is his pay.
“I have worked hard for three months and a month and a half in this company.”
“I just want my salary.”
Additionally, he mentioned that some of his coworkers’ wages are still pending. However, nobody was prepared to speak up because they didn’t want to become embroiled in any issues. He thus produced a video and shared it on Facebook. Additionally, he claimed that he has been out of pay for the last three months, leaving him in debt of 15,000–20,000 rupees, and he is unsure of how he will make ends meet if he does not get paid.
IRCTC’s response to a vendor’s widely shared video: “All dues have been cleared.”
IRCTC has finally responded to the video that went popular on X. They stated that all of the vendor’s debts had been settled and that he had been sacked for his unprofessional conduct and subpar performance. They stated that the businesses have been instructed to pay their employees on time in accordance with their contracts.
“All dues to the staff have been cleared. He was discontinued due to repeated complaints of misbehavior and poor service. Licensees have been directed to ensure timely staff payments as per contract terms.”

Truly heartbreaking..💔 😔.. Working tirelessly day in and day out for such meager pay, only to be punished for speaking up.. This is exploitation at its worst.. The system should protect workers, not crush them. No one deserves this injustice..😡🤬

This is not just limited to Indian Railways. That’s how corporates work in India.
Indian corporates are arrogant & abusive. They expect you to be submissive with no questions asked.
Can anyone dare to say “i want this job bcz i want money” in any interview?
