Actress Elli AvrRam and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani recently made waves when they posted what appeared to be a romantic photo online. Some internet users started making nasty remarks about Elli while admirers conjectured about a potential romance. Ashish has finally spoken up after remaining mute up until this point.
Finally speaking out against a misogynistic troll who is attacking Elli AvrRam, Ashish Chanchlani later removes the tweet:
Recently, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani gained notoriety for sharing a purportedly amorous photo of himself with actress Elli AvrRam with the remark, “FINALLY.” Even though the image was eventually revealed to be a promotional post for their next single, it nevertheless raised rumours of a potential romance and, regrettably, it provoked a flood of hate speech online, especially against Elli.
She was the target of extremely personal and sexist comments from some users, one of which read, “Her body count is more than the weight you have lost, Ashish.” Such language, particularly the insulting use of “body count,” is frequently used against women online and is indicative of a broader problem of gender-based harassment.
One person on X (previously Twitter) directly called Ashish out when the abuse became more vocal, writing,
“Bhai seriously bol rha hu ekdum shit song tha and iske liye tune prank kiya and tere fans ne is bandi ka character assassination kiya and tu chup hai.”
Ashish’s silence as his followers reportedly targeted Elli was criticised in the tweet. Ashish finally addressed the issue and gave a response to the criticism.

He tweeted,
“I wanna clear something before you all. Make no mistake. Those ‘people’ in my comments are not my audience/fans or followers. Half of them don’t even follow me. It’s a free platform and an open tweet, and all the disgusting things they said will never be supported or encouraged by me or my fans.”
He continued by saying,
“My subs are not like this — anyone who has been closely following me for a decade knows what I preach in my fandom. Rest assured, it’s pathetic what happened and I’ll be addressing it soon.”
Within hours, Ashish removed the tweet despite his firm position. But his response’s screenshots got viral very fast.
A look at Ashish Chanchlani’s deleted tweet

The entire incident began with Ashish Chanchlani’s “Finally” post with Elli AvrRam:
Actress Elli AvrRam and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani uploaded a joint Instagram photo, which sparked the issue. Fans and followers were immediately drawn to the picture of Ashish carrying Elli in his arms and the message, “Finally.” Many people thought the message was a love statement, perhaps indicating Ashish and Elli were dating.
Later on, though, it was discovered that the picture was really a promotional post for their next song video, Chandaniya. However, things had already become worse before all of this. Some social media users started making rude and sexist remarks about Elli.
Many of Ashish’s fans and followers were upset that he stayed mute throughout all of this. Given that the post originated from his account, people expected him to denounce the hate being directed against Elli. His lack of response was viewed as disheartening and led to more internet criticism.
However, Elli decided not to reply to the trolling directly. Rather, she posted a direct message on Instagram Stories with the caption, “True story,” and the words, “Your s*xiest body part is your mind.” It was a subdued yet elegant method of overcoming the hatred.
Fans are once again baffled by Ashish’s decision to finally speak out against the trolling, however he then removed his tweet. Many are curious as to why he decided to remove it and if he will take any additional action in response to his stance.
