10 Bathroom Habits That Could Be Wrecking Your Health

In an average bathroom, there are 3.2 million bacteria in the toilet bowl alone. For bad habits, even without knowing what we’re doing, we can spread all those germs everywhere. As a result, we may have acne skin or stomach discomfort.

1. Shaving your bikini area

Having hair in our bikini area is normal. We produce first of all pheromones that attract the opposite sex. First, they’re defending you from foreign bacteria.

Also, we can damage the skin a lot if we shave there.

What we need to do:

  • if you like your skin to be completely clean, use special women’s shaving equipment for intimate grooming, such as a woman’s razor and shaving cream. Because the skin is very sensitive, soap is not the best solution.

2. Using a loofah

It’s only good to use a loofah when it’s new. It scrubs off your dead skin cells that get into and stay in the sponge. Usually, you leave the loofah in the bathroom when you’re done with washing and scrubbing. This is the perfect time to grow bacteria.

After washing, bacteria keep growing every time you leave your loofah. So the dirt gets back on your body when you use it the next time.

What you need to do:

  • more often replace it.
  • Let it dry and in the bathroom do not leave it.
  • Using reusable products, such as washcloths.
  • Do not use a loofah, but twice a week exfoliate your skin.

3. Missing some spots when washing your body in the shower

4. Leaving your toothbrush on the counter

6. Using a towel for your face

Even if you have a special face towel, it can still be really dangerous for people with skin problems in particular. Each time you clean your face with the same towel and then leave it wet. This creates the perfect atmosphere for bacteria to grow.

What you need to do: use towels that can be disposed of. It will save your skin and you won’t need more towels to wash.

7. Leaving wet towels hanging in the bathroom

Moisture and bacteria make the towel the worst place to keep. Hanging it thereafter just taking a shower and drying yourself off is not a very good idea.

8. Sitting on the toilet longer than 15 minutes

10. Putting your hair on top of your head as you shampoo

If you find that it gets tangled even after using a conditioner when combing your hair, you may not wash it properly. Pay attention to whether after shampooing you are stacking your wet hair on top of your head.
