Big Brother, 6, Saves Sister’s Life By Diving Between Her And Dog

After suffering injuries from being mauled by a dog on July 9th, a boy from Wyoming, Bridger Walker, has received 90 stitches. The dog charged his little sister and he jumped bravely towards the side to block the attack. He still had the strength to snatch her hand after that, and bolted for safety.

His aunt, Nicole Walker, posted his story on Instagram and hoped that Bridger would receive “his favourite heroes’ words of encouragement.”

Anne shared the boy’s story on her Instagram.

She wrote, “I’m not an Avenger but when I see one, I know a superhero. I can only hope in my life that I am half as courageous as you are, Bridger. Wishing you a fast recovery, and plenty of cool rocks looking.

Bridger, a major fan or collector of rocks, has also received a message of appreciation from Chris Evans. He also said he was sending the boy over an official shield on Captain America!

Mark Ruffalo then went to the original post of Nicole and shared Bridger ‘s supportive response. He wrote, “Dear Bridger, I just read about what happened to you, and I wanted to reach out and say this … the most courageous and compassionate people I know are the people who put the well-being of others before themselves.

“I really appreciate your bravery and your spirit and admire them. True bravery doesn’t overpower people or fight people or walk around like a tough guy. True bravery is to know what is right to do and to do it, even though it may somehow end up hurting you. You’re more of a guy than many, I’ve seen or met plenty.’

Chris Hemsworth has also uploaded a series of Instagram stories for a shoutout for Bridger.

It is a very unusual story because it ended up with no particular contempt for anyone. The person reporting the incident was the dog owner, who explained the dog was a one-year-old vaccinated rescue, a German Shepherd mix. The owner has agreed to put her to sleep after the accident.

Nicole has also specifically included in subsequent posts explaining the tale in depth through a plea from Bridger ‘s parents not to condemn the dog owner. “We humbly ask you also to keep the owners of the dog in your prayers and forego any superficial judgments-because we love them,” she wrote.
