During his recent Dil-Luminati India Tour performance in Hyderabad, Diljit Dosanjh chastised individuals who were making fun of some of his female followers for sobbing during his performance. Several footage of the Punjabi singer-actor’s female fans becoming emotional went viral on social media following his performance in Jaipur earlier this month. For the same reason, though, a number of netizens trolled the females.

During his performance in Hyderabad on Friday night, Diljit responded to trolls by saying that it’s acceptable to be overwhelmed. This is something that only music lovers can understand, he said. He also requested individuals who were making fun of his female supporters for sobbing to stop making fun of “desk ki beti.”

“It’s acceptable; crying is acceptable. Music evokes feelings; it dances, it battles, it falls, it cries, it smiles. While listening to music, I have also shed many tears. Tears are only shed by individuals with feelings. Don’t worry about that; I have you covered. Nobody can stop these girls. They are self-sufficient; both men and women make money. They can make money and have fun,” Diljit remarked.

The Diljit Dosanjha event in Hyderabad is a part of his Dil-Luminati Tour, which will travel to ten Indian cities. The singer’s trip began with a huge performance in Delhi, and then moved on to Jaipur. His next show will be in Ahmedabad.

The Telangana government also sent Diljit Dosanjh a notice before to his performance in Hyderabad, asking him to refrain from singing songs that encourage violence, drugs, or alcohol. Additionally, Dosanjh was cautioned by the notice not to “use children” during his performance. It went on to say that youngsters are harmed by loud noises and flashing lights during concerts.
