A newlywed couple in Indonesia had a short honeymoon period when the husband found out his new bride was a male.
People often hide small details from their partners. Typically, these are things like how much money you spent on your shopping trip or that you binge-watched the entire series you were supposed to watch together.
The ‘little secret’ that you’re someone completely different from who you’re pretending to be is less common.
The reality about this specific relationship—which involved a 26-year-old Indonesian man named AK and his new “wife,” Adinda Kanza—came to light barely 12 days after the wedding.
After meeting online, the couple had been dating for around a year.
But according to reports, AK didn’t start to feel dubious until they were on his honeymoon, wondering why his new partner wouldn’t let him have personal contact even after they were legally wed.
According to AK, Adinda’refused to communicate with the people outside, including my family. In less than two weeks following the nuptials, AK discovered that his new spouse was anything but a woman.
Adinda was reported to the police by AK, who received support from his family. The police then began looking into the strange circumstances.
Adinda has a feminine voice and behaves ‘like a woman,’ according to the police, who also said that ‘if you look at their wedding images, Adinda looks just like a real woman’. Pictures of the couple feature Adinda in a scarlet gown, his head encrusted with jewels, and his face heavily contoured with red lipstick and eye makeup.
He’s got his arm around AK’s, who’s wearing a matching hat and red and gold suit. The police evaluated the situation and said, “He also has a gentle voice and tone, so there was no suspicion at all about him being a woman.”
Adinda’s motivation for dressing like a woman and marrying AK remains unknown. However, according to local media, he was caught by police and claimed that he married AK to steal his family’s possessions.
After the information spread, authorities located Adinda’s father, who Adinda had claimed had been gone for years, and were able to verify Adinda’s identification. Adina’s father affirmed that she was a male.
