A passenger named Yavanika Raj Shah recently experienced an unusual circumstance while travelling from Bengaluru to Bhopal on an IndiGo flight.
She found that the seats she had been given had no cushions. She seized the chance to share her experience on social media. Her post quickly gained popularity and generated a lot of conversation.
Shah’s worries were quickly acknowledged by IndiGo on social media, which clarified that the missing seat cushions were a normal part of cleaning operations. The airline clarified that cushions are taken out before flights to be cleaned, as needed while in transportation. IndiGo reaffirmed its dedication to upholding strict levels of hygienic practices and cleanliness for its patrons. They declared,
Ma'am, thank you for speaking with us. The seat cushions were replaced prior to the flight for cleaning purposes. Our cabin crew promptly informed the customers who were allotted these seats. This is a standard practice for cleaning during transit as and when required. (1/2)
