IRCTC Responds After Video Of Vendor Crying About Not Getting Paid Went Viral

IRCTC has long been a source of controversy for a number of reasons, including overcharging for food and water, mistreating passengers, and not offering assistance when requested. Now, a video of a vendor sobbing while seated on the Vande Bharat train went viral after he described how he put in a lot of overtime but was sacked and made to disembark in Meerut when he was asked for his three-month salary. IRCTC responded to the widely shared video after it went viral, asserting that there had been no wrongful firing.

The vendor claims that he was sacked for requesting his three-monthly salary.

Recently, @trainwalebhaiya posted a video on X. In the video, a vendor boards a Vande Bharat train and explains how his contracting employer sacked him for posting a video about the company’s salary issue.

He began the video by describing how his company’s general manager called him and instructed him to get off at the next station. In another way, he informed him that he had been let go.

He goes on to say that his manager approached him after this and instructed him to get off the train in Meerut since he had received a call from management.

He went on to say that he has been working hard for this organisation for three months without receiving a wage and for one and a half months. He went on to say that all he wants is his pay.

Additionally, he mentioned that some of his coworkers’ wages are still pending. However, nobody was prepared to speak up because they didn’t want to become embroiled in any issues. He thus produced a video and shared it on Facebook. Additionally, he claimed that he has been out of pay for the last three months, leaving him in debt of 15,000–20,000 rupees, and he is unsure of how he will make ends meet if he does not get paid.

IRCTC’s response to a vendor’s widely shared video: “All dues have been cleared.”

IRCTC has finally responded to the video that went popular on X. They stated that all of the vendor’s debts had been settled and that he had been sacked for his unprofessional conduct and subpar performance. They stated that the businesses have been instructed to pay their employees on time in accordance with their contracts.
