One of the most cherished talks shows on Indian television is Koffee With Karan, and for good reason. It is thrilling and brimming with vigour. The show debuted on November 19, 2004, and on March 17, 2019, the sixth season came to a conclusion.
And now that it’s in its seventh season, it goes without saying that every time a new episode is released, it generates a lot of media attention.
During her individual appearances, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra warmly embraced their relationship, while Samantha Prabhu talked openly about her divorce from his ex-husband Naga Chaitanya. Now that other celebrities are joining the show, Varun Dhawan and our favourite Anil Kapoor both made an appearance in the eleventh episode.
But after his presence, there were a lot of discoveries about his career and his relationships with other celebrities of the time.
The most well-known of these revelations is that he acknowledged being concerned about Jackie Shroff’s future when the actor won a film through Subhash Ghai’s production business in the most recent Koffee With Karan Season 7 episode.
At a period when Anil was playing modest roles, the actor mentioned Jackie and claimed that despite being a “outsider,” he had become an A-lister. Karan had asked Anil to discuss nepotism at the time.
Despite the nepotism topic being dismissed by Anil, who declared that he wouldn’t take it seriously, Jackie Shroff’s outstanding career was also brought up. His remarks on several social media channels practically went viral, receiving a lot of feedback.
Jackie Shroff has now reacted to Anil’s statement as well. Find out what he said by reading on:
Karan Johar aked Anil Kapoor about nepotism on Koffee With Karan
Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor were the other guests on Koffee With Karan season 7 episode 11, and host Karan Johar questioned them about nepotism. In response, Anil Kapoor said:
“I don’t take it seriously… When I started my career, at that time it was of course Sunny (Deol), there was Sanju (Sanjay Dutt).”
He was then interrupted by host Karan, who added Jackie Shroff’s name. Anil stated that,
“Jackie was an outsider in a way, but still he got the first break from Subhash Ghai. So, he himself became like an A-lister just with that one announcement. I, at that time, was doing bit roles, I was doing south Indian films. I did kind of, (was) not feeling good about it…”
Anil concurred with Karan and openly voiced his feelings when the latter probed him further about whether he was experiencing insecurity at the time due to Jackie’s success.

Jackie Shroff’s response to Anil Kapoor’s statements
Taking up Anil’s remarks on Koffee With Karan with Times Now, Jackie Shroff stated,
“It is normal to look up to your older brother and say oh… But I know he is a guy who really, really cares for me deep down in his heart and what he says is such a beautiful emotional display which not many people say it. His heart is absolutely clean and he speaks what he feels. That gives me a lot of credit, when a man of his calibre says that, he is giving me so much respect.”
On the professional front, Jackie Shroff will soon be seen in Atithi Bhooto Bhava alongside Pratik Gandhi and Sharmin Segal. Anil, on the other hand, will appear alongside Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan in the action film Fighter. He is also working on Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
