“Mumbai is the city where you have fulfilled your dream of becoming a Bollywood star, one would expect you to have some love for this wonderful city.” A single tweet from Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has led to an outpouring show of love by Hindi film industry stars for Mumbai.

It all started when Ranaut fired shots at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday for asking her not to return to Mumbai, claiming the remark seemed like an open threat to her. The actress shared a news article link stating that after admitting that she feared the city police force more than the “movie mafia,” Raut had asked her to refrain from travelling to Mumbai.

“The leader of Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena gave me an open threat and asked me not to return to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffiti in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why does Mumbai feel like Pakistan is occupying Kashmir?” Kangana tweeted from her official Twitter account.

This was when actress Renuka Sahane stepped in and asked Ranaut to respect the city which fulfilled her dream of becoming a star without mincing any words.

While Ranaut had the final say, her tweet that likened Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir stuck like a sore thumb for many industry stars who expressed their love for the city without naming names.

The aam Janta even chimed in to shower love over Mumbai and not just the celebrities.
