On Sunday, the Sunrisers Hyderabad enjoyed a special night as they defeated the Punjab Kings to earn their first victory in IPL 2023. Rahul Tripathi’s outstanding batting performance made him the game’s MVP. Kaviya Maran, the team’s owner, has been in the news as well, though, for an incident involving a cameraman. Kaviya can be heard expressing her annoyance with the cameraman who was focusing the lens on her in a video that has circulated on social media. Her response to the cameraman in the now-viral video clip was, “Hatt yaar (Getaway, dude)”

Kaviya Maran SRH Owner

Since she began supporting Sunrisers Hyderabad from the stands a few years ago, Kaviya has been a familiar presence at the team’s games, earning the nickname “one of the original mystery girls” in the IPL. She is also a well-known character at IPL auctions when she frequently appears at the SRH table.

Hyderabad took on Shikhar Dhawan’s Punjab Kings in the 14th game of the IPL 2023 season on April 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Despite the hosts’ excellent bowling effort, the opposition remained in the game because of Dhawan’s undefeated 99.

The camera panned to Kaviya Maran, the owner of SRH and the daughter of Sun Group owner Kalanithi Maran, who grew agitated and begged the photographer to move the camera away from her in Hindi slang as the tension increased. Since then, her video has received a lot of social media attention, with individuals sharing her-related content on Twitter.

However the Sunrisers Hyderabad team’s winning combination of Rahul Tripathi and captain Aiden Markram saw them through to victory in the 18th over. The crucial victory for SRH was gained by Tripathi’s brilliant innings of 74* off 48 balls and Markram’s cool-headed 37 off 21 balls, while Punjab Kings suffered their first loss of the season after three appearances. With this victory, only the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals remain unbeaten in the IPL 2023 season.
