‘Kya Din The Yaar’: Akshay Kumar Recalls Practicing Martial Arts With Ajay Devgn As ‘Newbies’

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Singham Ajay Devgn’s career in Bollywood (November 22). The actor has been receiving congratulations comments on social media since the morning of the big occasion from industry friends, colleagues, and fans. And one of the most touching words came from Akshay Kumar, who was last featured in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi with Devgn.

Akshay shared a photo with Ajay from the Sooryavanshi sets, talking about their decades-long friendship and reminiscing about the days when they were both ‘newbies’ practising martial arts on Juhu beach.

“Mujhe yaad hai when as rookies, main aur tu saath saath Juhu beach pe martial arts practise karte the time your dad used to instruct us,” the Bell Bottom actor wrote.

“@ajaydevgn, kya din the yaar, and it’s been 30 years since #PhoolAurKaante. Time passes, yet friendship endures “He went on to say that

Ajay’s first film, Phool Aur Kaante, was released on November 22, 1991, for those who are unaware. He made his big screen debut atop two motorcycles, and the celebrity hasn’t looked back since. As the actor reaches this milestone, megastar Amitabh Bachchan sent a message to his Satyagraha co-star on Twitter. He wished Devgn a happy birthday and complimented him on his off-screen persona.

Ajay’s crew also made a unique film to commemorate the occasion, which the actor shared on Instagram. He is working out in the video when one of his team members congratulates him on his 30th year in the Hindi film industry. Devgn responds that he has just just begun warming up and adds, “Dua mein yaad rakhna.”

We agree that the 52-year-old actor is heating up, as he has a promising slate of projects ahead of him. He has a prominent role in SS Rajamouli’s historical drama RRR, which also stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Maidaan, May Day, and Thank God are among his other credits.
