The $100 million (Rs.700 crore)Cricket stadium project was given a green signal at the start of 2017, when a few notable leaders were called in Motera Ahmedabad, on 16th January 2017, to attend the foundation-stone-laying ceremony of the new stadium. Now, After two years, Here is the sight into some construction work that gonna be the world largest cricket stadium.

Parimal Nathwani, the Gujarat Cricket Association Vice-President, tweeted pictures of the construction work from the stadium site in which he clearly mentioned that this is the dream project of the state cricket board and after it’s completion, it will become a symbol of pride for India.

It will be built across 63 acres of land and with a final budget cost of INR 700 crores. the construction tender and the opportunity to design it has been given to L&T and Populous respectively.
So far, The infrastructure, adds three practice grounds and an indoor cricket academy, inside the stadium. The parking area will hold about 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers!

This stadium also claims of having 76 corporate boxes, a club-house, 4 dressing rooms and an Olympic size swimming pool. Isn’t it amazing?
The stadium confirms to take over from the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Eden Gardens in Kolkata, in every compass. It can hold people over 1 Lakh.

Well, Let’s hope that This stadium will be completely ready and in full swing by 2023 and India hosts the Cricket World Cup and the largest cricket ground in the world!
