Many of you may question why we even have an International Left-Handers Day that was on Sunday, August 13th this year. But for us, right-handers, it is quite easy to forget about our 10 per cent of the world’s community who whose main hand is their left. If you will do a little bit of math 10 per cent of 7.5 billion is still a lot of people who have to get through their day with instruments designed without them in mind. And it doesn’t matter if you agree or not but this is a right-handed world. For instance, if you notice the everyday items that we use like ring binders to ring binders to desks and ice-cream scoopers, everything looks to be created with the righties in mind.
And if you put through past and dig a bit you will find there are plenty of great people in history who have been left-handed, from Aristotle and Leonardo Da Vinci to Albert Einstein, Neil Armstrong, Winston Churchill, Bill Gates, Jimi Hendrix, and Barack Obama and many more. But each of them had the same strife that any left-hander does!
