Raj Kundra responded to the criticism in his Instagram account on August 15, 2025. He wrote:
“Strange world we live in- when someone chooses to offer a part of themselves to save another’s life, it’s mocked as a PR stunt.”
Following this, he made two or three postings on respect and strength, which appear to be in response to the criticism he is receiving. He also posted two reels of Premanand Maharaj on his Instagram story after these posts.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty recently travelled to Vrindavan, where they met Premanand Maharaj, a spiritual leader. The spiritual leader disclosed to them that he has been dealing with kidney failure for about ten years, since both of his kidneys had failed. Raj Kundra immediately volunteered one of his kidneys when he learnt about this, but Premanand Maharaj turned him down. Raj Kundra had stated:
“I’ve been following you for the past two years. I have no questions because your videos always answer any doubts or fears I have. You are an inspiration to everyone. I know about your health condition, and if I can help, one of my kidneys is yours.”
