It seems like smartphone makers are in the serious race of making good one than the previous one. With the notch and the number of cameras in a phone being the focal point of all the launches, Samsung has also jumped in the battle.

Following introducing the 2018 Galaxy A9 smartphone with four rear cameras in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Milan, Italy simultaneously, Samsung, the Korean tech giant, has launched the phone officially in India. Samsung left no stone unturned to declare how good the camera is on the phone. Now, it would be interesting to see who has the last laugh in what seems to be a long-running race.

What Are The Features of Galaxy A9? 

The Galaxy A9 sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2220 pixels. The model gets four vertically stacked camera sensors with a large ‘edge to edge’ display, as Samsung calls it. It has a powerful 3800mAh battery for extensive users.

The Snapdragon 660 SoC does the processor duties coupled with 6/8GB of RAM. 128GB of onboard storage is offered which is expandable up to 512GB making totalling at a whopping 640GB.

Camera 

Coming to the major focal point of the Galaxy A9, the quadruple camera setup. The main camera of the device is the 24MP sensor featuring a f/1.7 aperture. Samsung stated that the main sensor merges four pixels into one for generating superior image quality in low-light conditions.

The second camera is an 8MP sensor with a 120° ultra-wide lens and f/2.4 aperture. The ultra-wide camera offers 124° angle as compared to the normal has just 77°. It is best suited for the ultra-wide panorama shots.

Get amazing shots even from a distance with the third lens that has a 10MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and sports 2X optical zoom. There is a fourth camera featuring a 5MP depth sensor and a f/2.2 aperture for the bokeh and the blur effect.

What’s new in this? 

Samsung seems to be going with the trend and has offered a curved 3D glass finish for the back panel. It has a unique gradient texture and with the colour fading away as you move towards the top. On the software front, it gets face unlocking along with Bixby assistant and Samsung Pay.

There is an intelligent camera scene optimizer that integrates AI for a better photography effect. If you took a flawed picture, it will detect the flaw and tell you. On the front, the Samsung Galaxy A9 sports a 24MP front camera with a f/2.0 aperture.

Availability of this Phone

You can get your Samsung Galaxy A9 in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black, and Lemonade Blue shades. The device’s price in India starts at Rs. 36,990 for the 6GB RAM variant, whereas the 8GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 39,990. Samsung Galaxy A9 will be available from November 28 via Airtel Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, and Samsung Shops.
