Sushant Singh Rajput case: Family lawyer alleges somebody in Mumbai Police is helping Rhea Chakraborty

Following an FIR filed in Bihar against Rhea Chakraborty by Sushant Singh Rajput ‘s father KK Singh, the actress has filed a petition in the Supreme Court for the transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai. Reacting to the same, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh has reportedly alleged that Rhea Chakraborty is being helped by someone in the Mumbai police force.

Vikas Singh told PTI, “If she (Rhea) moved the apex court, she ought to have filed a petition seeking an investigation into the CBI. FIR is registered in Patna, and now she (Rhea) has lodged a Supreme Court petition seeking stay and transfer of investigation to Mumbai. Isse Jyada kya proof chahiye ki (what more proof is needed) she is supported by someone in Mumbai Police.

Their lawyer talked to a news channel and made some startling statements on the matter. He has also emerged that in February, four months before the tragic death of the later star, Sushant ‘s family had already filed a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty. The family had claimed in the complaint that Sushant is in a bad business, and they are afraid that anything untoward will happen to him. The family had urged police in Mumbai to get the actor examined.

The lawyer also added that Sushant ‘s family had tried to file an FIR in Mumbai against Rhea but forced them to take names from major production houses and not Rhea. The Bihar police team is now going through all the facts the Mumbai Police have gathered so far. They are also to visit the residence of Sushant and question Ankita Lokhande on the matter. Sushant was found dead on 14 June under mysterious circumstances in his Mumbai apartment.
