Husband and interior designer Gauri Khan and actor Shah Rukh Khan have been together for more than thirty years. As Shah Rukh was a Muslim, did you know that Gauri’s parents were initially opposed to their marriage? Gauri discussed her ideas about changing her faith in the inaugural season of Koffee with Karan. She also stated that she respected Shah Rukh’s religion, just as he respected hers.

What Gauri Khan said

Gauri and Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan was spotted on the couch in a video from that Koffee with Karan episode that surfaced on Instagram. “I feel like Aryan [Khan] is so into Shah Rukh, that he would follow his religion,” Gauri stated in that episode. He’ll say, “I am a Muslim,” without fail. And my mother asks, “What do you mean?” when he tells her this. She’s indeed handling it.

Shah Rukh Khan would not disrespect my religion’

She went on, “There is equilibrium. I have respect for Shah Rukh’s faith, but it doesn’t imply I’d convert to Islam. I don’t think that’s true. I believe that each person is unique and adheres to their religion. Of course, there shouldn’t be any disrespect, though. Just as Shah Rukh wouldn’t disregard my faith either.

When Shah Rukh visited the Dance Plus 5 sets a few years ago, he remarked, “Humne koi Hindu-Musalman ki baat hi nahi ki.” Mai Musalman hoon, Meri biwi Hindu hai. If this is the case, then Hindustan is the case. While attending school, I was able to learn about religion. As soon as I finished it, I asked my father, “Papa, do you practise any religion?”

While religion is not a factor, usme ye likha ki hum Indian hi hain yaar. But it’s not like that at all. (We have never talked about Muslims and Hindus. Our children are Hindustani, my wife is Hindu, and I am Muslim. My daughter’s school required students to write their faith when they were younger. One day, my kid asked me, “What is our religion?” We are Indian, and we don’t practise any religion, is all I wrote on her form.

On October 25, 1991, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan tied the knot. Their three children are AbRam, Suhana, and Ryan. A few days ago, the entire family was rejoicing over their team, KKR, winning the IPL for the third time. In addition to giving Gauri a firm hug, Shah Rukh was also spotted kissing her forehead. Gauri shared a picture of herself and Shah Rukh holding the IPL trophy. They both grinned at the camera. “Winners @kkriders (red heart and star eyes emojis)” was her caption for the photo.
