Zareen Khan and other actors weren’t born with a lot of money. Born into a modest Muslim Pathan family in Mumbai, the girl appears to lead a tranquil life, but destiny has other ideas. She was left in charge of everything after her father left her family. She balanced front desk work with call centre duties. But in addition to this, she subtly wrote a plot that nobody could predict. She also began doing freelance modelling and promotional work for different brands in addition to her full-time jobs.

However, that changed when she made her Bollywood debut as Princess Yashodhara in the film “Veer,” costarring with Salman Khan. She then had the chance to work on a number of films. Her issues do not, however, end here. Being overweight was a persistent concern for her. Even though she is 38 years old and still single, some individuals have begun to age-shame her. Zareen Khan has the perfect response to this type of harassment as well.
Zareen Khan shared a video, reacting to age-shaming comments she received
In a recent video, actress Zareen Khan exposed society’s outdated views on marriage and a woman’s age. She basically responded to the netizen’s comment on one of her Instagram photos, which said, “Shaadi kar lo, buddhi ho rahi ho” (Get married, you are becoming old). She asked why marriage is often seen as the solution to every problem in life, especially for women. She captioned her video, saying,
It’s no more Shaadi ka Laddu , now it’s more like Shaadi ka Lollipop. Aapka kya khyaal hai?
In her video, Zareen said,
Lately, I read some comments on my videos and posts. There is one comment that really stood out: ‘Shaadi kar lo, buddhi ho rhi ho.’ What does this even mean? I don’t understand if it’s something specific to our country or a universal problem. Somehow, marriage seems to be seen as the ultimate solution.
Zareen Khan also emphasised that when children are not productive in their lives, families want to marry them. This idea destroys people’s lives, she continued.
She said,
If someone isn’t focused in life, isn’t doing work or business, family members suggest getting them married. But how is that a solution? A person who can’t take responsibility for themselves or care for their family shouldn’t be burdened with another. It will only ruin both lives. I don’t think this will work. Also, if a child is lost—whether a boy or a girl—most parents believe the only solution is to get them married.
At last, Zareen Khan argues whether people took marriage as magic and said that marriage is not the answer to everything. She said,
Finally, Zareen Khan contends that marriage is not the solution to all problems and questions whether people view it as a magic. “I said,” she said.
Is marriage some kind of magic that fixes everything? From what I see, most marriages these days last just two or three months, if at all. I definitely don’t think marriage is the answer to all our problems.

After going viral, Zareen Khan’s video elicited a range of responses:
Zareen Khan’s video quickly gained popularity on social media and sparked a range of responses. Her remarks were praised by many, but others shared their opinions on marriage.

Even if Zareen Khan’s apologetic approach to marriage garners a lot of attention, we must acknowledge that this kind of thinking still exists in society. Additionally, celebrities are not exempt from this; it affects more than just regular people like ourselves. Her video served as a reality check rather than a tirade. Furthermore, perhaps it’s time for more people to consider if marriage is a practical solution or only a means of escape.
