Celebrity tattoos can sometimes reveal more about a person’s life than questionable interviews. They simply enjoy commemorating significant events in their lives by producing artwork on their skin. Some pay respect to their relationships by tattooing their names, like Johnny Depp did, while others, like Ed Sheeran, profess their affection for their favourite meal. And some celebrities, such as Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez, tattoo vital reminders on their skin.

Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, stars of the cult Game of Thrones series, got matching tattoos that read “07.08.2009” to commemorate their friendship. On this date, the girls were cast in the show and became on-screen sisters. Since then, they’ve been inseparable. That’s a goal we’d all like to accomplish in terms of friendship!

Emilia Clarke, another Game of Thrones star, got a tattoo of three flying dragons in honour of her character Daenerys Targaryen. Daenerys was frequently referred to as The Mother of Dragons in the storey, and Emilia opted to honour her. After all, it was for this role that she became recognised all over the world.

Another celebrity who has had to “ink-out” the ramifications of a tragic love tale is Johnny Depp. After his break-up with actress Winona Ryder in the 1990s, he changed his signature “Winona Forever” tattoo to a more abstract “Wino Forever.”

In 2015, he received a new tattoo to commemorate his relationship with Amber Heard. “SLIM,” a nickname Heard had, was written on his knuckles. However, neither the fairytale nor the ink homage, which now says “SCUM,” lasted.

Heidi Klum understands Johnny Depp completely. She got four stars and an abstract figure tattooed on her arm to represent her husband Seal and their children. Seal vanished from her life after their divorce. The tattoo did as well.

She honoured her fiancé Liam Hemsworth’s Australian heritage by tattooing a jar of Vegemite, the national Australian food spread, on her shoulder after they reconnected two years ago. Regrettably, the stars have just announced yet another split.

Ed Sheeran has also shown himself to be a fan of food tattoos, however his passion is for the product itself. On the arm of the British vocalist is a bottle of Heinz ketchup. Sheeran is so obsessed with ketchup that he keeps bottles of it on his tour in case eateries don’t serve it.

Another British woman expressed her passion for cuisine. Cara Delevingne’s right foot has the word “bacon” tattooed on it. Her left foot is likewise emblazoned with the words “made in England” written in ink.

It reflects the treatment models receive in the profession, according to the former model and actress. Because of the reactions of the audience, Delevingne admitted that she felt like a mannequin. That’s why she chose to mark herself in the same way that dolls are labelled.

The model explained herself in an emotional Instagram post, describing how difficult it was to grow up in front of the camera.

Selena Gomez is another celebrity who prefers to wear vital personal messages on her skin. “Love yourself first,” one of her earliest tattoos reads in Arabic on her ribs. “God who strengthens me,” says another sentence scrawled in English on her hip. Her favourite bible verse inspired the phrase.

Demi Lovato is a fan of ink reminders as well. She, for example, recently wore a rose on her index finger to commemorate six months of abstinence following her heroin addiction. The word “me” engraved on her ring finger serves as a reminder to always put herself first (Selena Gomez can relate). Some tattoos, like the smile on her pinky, were made merely for fun.

Ariana Grande can also giggle hysterically at her tattoo. The singer had identical ink on her palm to commemorate the release of her new track “7 Rings” earlier this year. She chose to write it in Japanese, however she made a blunder, and her tattoo was mistranslated as “little charcoal grill.” She attempted to alter the writing afterwards, but failed once more. According to a Japanese correspondent for Buzzfeed, the latest version reads “Japanese BBQ finger.”

David Beckham

The accolade for “cutest daddy ever” goes to David Beckham. Among his many tattoos (one of which shows an image of Christ inspired by a painting by Catholic artist Mathew Brooks), he cherishes two in particular because they were created by his children. Harper, his only daughter, painted a drawing of a tiny girl on his palm, while Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, his three sons, hand-wrote the phrase “We love you daddy.”

Victoria Beckham, his famous wife, had tattoos as well. The most famous was a Hebrew tattoo on her neck that read, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine,” and ran down her spine. She received it in 2006, but the ink had faded to the point where it was practically unreadable a few years ago.

Although Beckham has never revealed why it vanished, it’s most likely that she did so in order to fit in with her new exquisite style during the last few years. It appears that the four tattoos on her wrists have likewise faded away.
