When Janelle, 32, disclosed that she had to nurse her husband, Joshua, for three days, the internet was taken aback. Furthermore, this young woman’s nursing experience doesn’t end here. We would like to share the incredible story of this mother of four who opened up to us about how important breastfeeding is.
Reminiscing on her recent trip to Puerto Rico, Janelle posted to TikTok and acknowledged that “desperate times called for desperate measures.” She clarified that she had forgotten to bring her breast pump on their four-day holiday with her husband, Joshua.
The mother reported that her breasts “felt like they were on fire” after going a day without pumping. Janelle said, “You know that part in your marriage vows, ‘for better or for worse?'” in the video that she posted online. Well, this past week I had to follow through with my husband on that.
This is how she begged her spouse to “assist her,” and she confirmed at the end of the video that “I had to breastfeed my husband.”
The video gained a lot of popularity and has received about 15,000 likes as well as a wide range of emotions and comments from surprised viewers.
“Is there a reason you didn’t just hand pump?” inquired one person. Janelle answered, “I tried so hard, but it wasn’t working until I had some suction going,” in response.
Her husband had to try her breast milk again.
Janelle set up a blind taste test for her husband in another video that went viral, whereby she fooled him into drinking her breast milk. Joshua had to predict each drink—oat, whole, almond, and breast milk—without realising which was which.
Joshua immediately displayed signs of discomfort when he tried the breast milk, and he said, “That’s your breast milk.” I’m optimistic.
She also nurses her sister-in-law’s son.
Janelle highlighted the value of nursing, saying, “I love nursing; it’s such a great way for a mum and her baby to bond.”
This is the reason Janelle had to step in to assist her sister-in-law Lisa, who was having trouble nursing her kid due to problems with her milk supply. The 32-year-old said, “It was something that always came really easy for me. It wasn’t even a question.” I don’t think it’s strange, and I enjoy doing it.
Janelle is actually on a quest to dispel the various stigmas associated with nursing and “shed some light on it.”
The mother of four questioned why she faced criticism after hearing from certain individuals who claimed they “would not be comfortable with their child being fed by someone else.” “Is it disgusting when you drink cow’s milk?” she said. You have no idea where that cow has been.
Regarding her sister-in-law, she expresses her gratitude to Janelle for providing assistance during her ordeal.
Lisa said, “I let Janelle nurse my child because it helps [him], provides him with excellent nutrients, prevents him from going hungry, and keeps him happy and healthy.” I was fortunate to have Janelle.
Regarding her spouse, Joshua, the youthful guy expresses pride in his spouse’s magnanimous gesture and declares, “I adore it.” It seems extremely cool to me. In addition, he called the procedure “an amazing thing” and “incredibly natural.”
