Filmmaker Sajid Khan entered the Bigg Boss 16 house earlier this month. It is safe to assume that this event has caused quite a stir throughout the whole entertainment industry. Even after numerous allegations and admissions of his s*xual misconduct, the Bigg Boss producers have remained silent. People have used this as evidence that “India lost its #MeToo battle.” Here is what actress Aahana Kumra told about her MeToo experience with Sajid Khan out of many actresses.
Aahana shared that Sajid invited her to his place for an audition
Actress Aahana Kumra spoke with ETimes about her terrible encounter with Sajid Khan. She claimed that despite the fact that Sajid Khan never touched her, he still posed inappropriate and irrational questions. The actor of Lipstick Under My Burkha explained how the Housefull director asked her to audition at his home despite negative rumours she had heard about him. Then, as we are quoting her,
“I had a meeting with Sajid Khan about a year ago, knowing the fact that he is a shady guy. I met him and he did the same thing that Saloni (Chopra) has written about him. Same drill — you go to his house, and you are escorted to his room which is pretty dark. He makes you watch what he’s watching.”
Aahana emphasised how she had an incident with Sajid that was almost identical to Saloni Chopra’s testimony.
“But he still asked me bizarre questions,” said Aahana
Aahana shared with the ETimes that she confronted Sajid and told him about how her mother is in the police. She added,
“But he still asked me bizarre questions like, ‘Would you have s*x with a dog if I gave you Rs 100 crores’? He didn’t touch me”
Adding onto the tale she further said as we quote,
“I guess he was trying to give me gyaan on how I need to be a dumbf*** or laugh at his s*xist jokes if I wanted to be a mainstream heroine in his films. He implied that I think too much and that I am too vocal about what I think. Hence, I am not mainstream actress material.”
In the wake of the allegations, Sajid stepped down as the director of Housefull 4
The accusations against Sajid by Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Karishma Upadhyay, Aahana Kumra, and other actors exposed him as a rumoured s*xual predator. So, out of “moral obligation,” Sajid resigned from his position as director of Houseful 4 on October 12th. He tweeted the following:
“In the wake of the allegations against me and the pressure being put on my family, my producer and the stars of my film Housefull 4, I must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth.”
