In recent months, the internet has been agitated by rumours about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s separation. The persistent rumours that Abhishek cheated on Aishwarya with his Dasvi co-star Nimrat Kaur also caused anxiety among the Bachchan family. A social media post that quickly went viral and attracted trolls and comments from internet users sparked the purported rumour.
None of the celebrities have responded to the unfounded rumours in detail and have opted to keep quiet. Such conjectures have not been supported by any evidence.
A photo of Amitabh Bachchan’s handwritten letter appreciating Nimrat Kaur went viral amid all of this:
Now, the letter, which was written by Amitabh Bachchan, has come up again and is being discussed. In the movie Dasvi, Nimrat costarred with Abhishek. Amitabh Bachchan was thrilled with her performance and wrote a letter praising her. Big B wrote her a letter in 2022 that said,
“We have hardly any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at an event at YRF – for the Cadbury AD. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional – nuances, gestures, all! My deep admiration and congratulations.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s kindness moved the Lunchbox actress, who shared her gratitude on Instagram by sharing a photo of the handwritten letter. She talked about how, when she first arrived in Mumbai eighteen years ago, seeing Amitabh Bachchan and getting his gesture of appreciation felt like a far-off dream. Nimrat penned,
“To imagine that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan would know me by my name, recall us meeting and him appreciating me in a television commercial and years later send a note and flowers for something I attempted in a film – all would’ve been but a distant dream, perhaps someone else’s for me, not even my own.”

Nimrat also showed respect for the superstar and added a note in Hindi. She wrote,
“@amitabhbachchan Sir, Apko Mera Sahprem, Anant Sahprem, Anant Dhanyawaad! Aaj Alfaz aur bhavnaye, dono kam pad rahi hai. Apka yah snehpurvak pata ajiwan mujhe prerit karta rahega aur is amulye guldasta rui ashirwaad ki mahak meri jindagi ke har kadam par bani rahegi! Aapse mili is shabashi se ek chuppi mahsus ho rahi hai….jaise kisi vishal parvat ya Prachi mandir ke samne hoti hain. Apki shraddhpurvak, sadev aabhari Nimrat (Today my words and my emotions, both are falling short. Your lovely letter will keep inspiring me my entire life and the scent of this priceless bouquet will always be with me every step of my life. I am feeling speechless after getting this accolade from you, just like one feels in front of a huge mountain or an ancient temple. Forever obliged, Nimrat).”
Dasvi was a direct-to-digital release that was made available on JioCinema and Netflix two years ago. In addition to Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam played a key role in the movie. The social comedy, which was produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films and directed by Tushar Jalota, was well received by viewers.
