Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, does not require an introduction. Many people can learn from his success story. From a humble beginning in Chennai to make our country proud, he is a true rags-to-riches story. We all know about his accomplishment, but we don’t know about the lady who always stuck by his side and backed him up. Yes, we’re talking about Anjali Pichai, his wife. Like them, their love tale was beautiful and straightforward. Sundar was from an upper-middle-class household. He was a modest man who resided in Chennai.
The First Meeting
Sundar met Anjali while studying Metallurgical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur. They were both classmates. They grew to be close friends and began to enjoy each other’s company. ‘Pyaar Dosti Hai,’ stated Shah Rukh Khan in one of his flicks, and this was exactly the case in Suraj-love Anjali’s tale. They both quickly realised they have affections for each other. As a result, he proposed to her in the last year, and she accepted.
Once Sundar told himself that Anjali had no smartphones at that time, it was very difficult for him to communicate there. He revealed he used to ask a girl to tell Anjali, and she would scream and say Sundar was here, and that was an embarrassment for him. Once shared, Pichai
“I met Anjali at IIT-K and she was my classmate. Just to go get someone at the girl’s hostel, you had to walk in the front and request someone to call them. And they’d go in and loudly say – Anjali, Sundar is here. It wasn’t exactly a pleasant experience.”
Friends Call Him Chhupa Rustam
Sundar’s friends called him Chhupa Rustam since none of them knew what was going on with him until he made it known in the last year. Sooraj’s IIT colleague Joy Bhattacharya said earlier in an interview with India Abroad, “His friends gave his nickname because Sundar was able to keep the stuff close and spring surprises, as nobody expected.”
He added, “Even those who spent time with him regularly had no indication of his business with Anjali until his last year with the IIT in 1989.”
Sundar moved to the United States to complete his education after graduating. He didn’t talk to Anjali, who was in India, for about six months because he wasn’t financially independent. True love, as the saying goes, always finds its way. Their relationship grew stronger as a result of the distance.
Finally, the wedding bells rang out.
Anjali also flew to the United States. Sundar, on the other hand, obtained a job there. He planned to marry the love of his life after he was financially secure. He got Anjali’s parents’ consent, and the rest, as they say, is history. Both of them moved to the United States after getting married.
Sundar’s good luck charm appears to be Anjali.
Sundar received intriguing offers from Microsoft, Yahoo, and Twitter after marrying Anjali. Anjali, on the other hand, counseled him to decline these offers and stick with Google. He followed her advice and is now the CEO of Google, the world’s largest corporation.
Still maintain a low-profile life
Sundar Pichai started dating Anjali with little and now earns more than 3.5 crore per day. They are content and successful, but want to keep a low profile. The couple lives in a gorgeous mansion created by Robert Swatt in Los Altos Hills, a part of the Swatt Miers architectural company, with their two children, Kavya and Kiran.
Matches are said to be created in heaven, and couples like Sundar and Anjali have proven this to be true.
