The film industry is a wonderful place that makes people superstars based on the work they do. They earn immense exposure, glamour, lifestyle and yes, a lot of money for their work as well. But it’s clear that if things go wrong, their status will return to where they all started from or worse. There are several nice books about the inspiring stories of many celebrities, but there are some who are unable to attain their place in the industry such as Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan and who have struggled in their career despite acquiring a big name and winning over their audiences. But they have now vanished and they are living a miserable life which they probably would not have predicted. Let’s look at it.
1. O.P. Nayyar
Intoxication takes away from you everything and everyone, including O.P’s example. Nayyar is among the strongest. He had a drug problem and had given up his family relationships. He turned out to be someone who needed cash and alcohol in return for interviews that people asked for, offering some really good tunes for the music industry. He had to face a few of the toughest days before he died.
2. Achala Sachdev
Her son and her daughter deserted this woman and this brought her to a horrific death that no one would want for themselves. Once upon a time, she was a massive sensation in every city and was known as Balraj Sahni’s Zohrajabeen. She was admitted to a hospital in Pune and was suffering there and then finally disappeared into the light, and the sad part is that during her last breath there was no one from her family.
3. Parveen Babi
Parveen Babi was a young, brave, glamorous and charming actress who took the industry by a storm but on January 22, 2005, she was unexpectedly found dead in her Mumbai apartment. There is to be blamed for a psychiatric ailment and she had ended all of her industry connections. When no one came forward for more than 2 days to claim the body, it was eventually Mahesh Bhatt who took the responsibility of performing the last rituals to give her soul the peace it deserved.
4. Meena Kumari
Meena Kumari had made one bad choice and faced the most severe consequences which resulted in her death. She was entitled to the Indian Film Industry with the title of The Tragedy Queen, but the sad part is, she really had to meet a tragic end. She was then the first preference of many men in the industry but she had chosen to marry her life’s love, Kamal Amrohi, and this turned out to be the most awful decision because she was too liquor-dependent and then she died.
5. Raj Kiran
It was in 2010 that Raj Kiran was discovered in the psychiatric facility, a mental institution in Atlanta, in a state of insanity. People had thought the star was dead and thus vanished from the industry, but Rishi Kapoor, who was a co-star in the same movie, became worried and so searched for him and found him.
6. Mitali Sharma
A very famous Bhojpuri actress, Mitali has seen the brightest days as a Bhojpuri actress in her career but was recently found begging in Mumbai streets. Not only this, when two female police officers found her trying to commit a robbery, she had got herself in trouble. To escape from the scene, she had to hit the police, and then run. She used to receive the top-class movies, but she stopped receiving offers and is in severe depression since then.
7. Bhagwan Dada
A man who owned a variety of luxury cars and bungalows died in a messy, filthy slum in Mumbai, a growing workplace. After his films like Jhamela and Labela had flopped he lost everything. Despite having won everything he came to the streets.
8. Bharat Bhushan
Giving the industry’s best depiction of serious roles, he was a standout. He took everything from his affair with Meena Kumari and his lavish habits. He eventually stopped getting offers and then used to work in a film studio as a gatekeeper to hold his body and soul together. He also died in a flat he’d rented out.
9. Geetanjali Nagpal
A famous model, who was the fashion designers ‘ first choice to reveal their designs with a walk on the ramp. But she became addicted to drugs and other medications for which she lost everything. She had to begin begging on South Delhi streets and also work as a maid to satisfy her needs.
10. Jagdish Mali
He is an incredible industry photographer and actress Antra Mali’s dad.. He had been seen begging on Mumbai’s Andheri road. It was Salman Khan who offered him support. Due to its awful conditions, Jagdish had to sell his photo studio.
