It’s unfortunate, with mild indifference, that the hard work and a decent movie go in the vein. Those movies deserved to be known for the actors, the film, and its most amazing script. But, in the long run, they managed to get enough recognition.

We’ve mentioned a couple of classic Bollywood movies here that were really decent but couldn’t gross up well.

10. Karz (1980)

Subhash Ghai’s film revolves around the Ravi Kapoor. His grizzly wife kills the rich man. In his next life, he gets back as Monty. Then, he realizes all that had happened to him and goes for vengeance. The motion picture’s gross box office revenue was Rs5.5crores.

9. Khamoshi ~ The musical (1996)

The movie us about a woman Anni (Manisha Koirala) who is devoted to the art of music. She falls for Raj (Salman Khan) who is a musician. This doesn’t go well with his father and rest is all about his oppose. The movie was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and collected Rs6.90crores.

8. Swades ~ (2004)

The movie is starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead. He is a scientist at NASA. He goes out to try out Nanny in India, who initially raised him. Along the way, his passion for his country is felt. Aashutosh Gowarikar produced the film, and its revenue was of Rs. 16.5 crores.

7. Umraao Jaan ~ (1981)

The film has Rekha in its lead role. The story says, she’s sold out of vengeance. The man is her father’s enemy and sells it to a Brothel. She grows into a very talented poet and courtesan. But her life of love never lingers in her favour. The film was from Muzzafar Ali’s side and took Rs. 6.6crores home.

6. Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye ~ (2008)

Dibakar Banerjee’s masterpiece is a rather fascinating story of burglary. It is revolving around a thief, Fortunate. He robs the wealthy violently and that is enjoyable for him. He is later arrested and faces complex prosecutions. The film received a quantity of 6.72crores rs.

5. Lamhe ~ (1991)

Yash Chopra handed this beautiful story. The film tells of a man called Virendra played by Anil Kapoor. He fell in love with a woman but was unable to confess. Eventually, tables switch, and things come to a point where the woman’s daughter he loved gets into a relationship with him. Things then get complicated too. The film was collecting nearly 20crores.

4. Agneepath ~ (1990)

Who would believe this time the Amitabh Bachchan starer Agneepath was not doing well. The film is later much praised. Mukul Anand directed the action film and carried a set of Rs. 10.25crores.

3. Silsila ~ (1981)

Yet another Bollywood classic presented very well. The motion picture grossed Rs. 7 crores and was directed by Yash Chopra. The story changes when Shekhar, the elder brother, dies and Amit, his pregnant girlfriend marries the younger one. He makes a sacrifice to save his brother’s pride in the relationship. And, he meets his own girlfriend and their chemistry is shot very well.

2. The Burning Train

The Burning Train was a major flop in cinema theatres, but in the 1980s the film produced some tough shots with minimal special effects. The film’s Box Office revenue was Rs. 3.2 Crores.

1. Mera Naam Joker ~ (1970)

The ever so beautiful film in history. In its initial time, Mera Naam Joker didn’t gross well. Raj Kapoor’s masterpiece Grossed 1 crore. The film takes a spin on a roller coaster at the feelings fair. It’s about a guy who has lost three different women at three different times. The film sheds light on what changes this would bring in to the man’s life.
