Chhavi Mittal, a television actress who became well-known on daily dramas like Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan and Bandini, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She has persisted in motivating her followers in a number of postings since being given a cancer diagnosis. She has no reluctance in telling her tale of survival.

The actress, who had cancer removed for the same purpose, has recently made public a few images that will definitely give us a sense of empowerment. Chhavi was photographed most recently swimming while on vacation in Dubai while donning a white bikini.

She embraces the scar left by her cancer surgery and beams warmly. Chhavi said in the description of the picture,

“This is what I earned his year. A new life. A better one. A stronger one.#breastcancersurvivor #2022 #rewind #yearinreview #happy2023 #2023.”

But a lot of people didn’t like her pictures. They began making fun of her and her journey as a result, insensitively talking about her breasts in the comments area.

But, as we all know, Chhavi is a fighter, and she also fights back against this trolling

On Monday, TV personality Chhavi Mittal shared screenshots of several “insensitive” comments made about her bikini photos. The commenters on her posts claimed in a long statement that she also penned, “treat my breasts like a commodity.” She penned,

“Yes. This insensitivity still happens. I recently posted some vacation pics/reels from a beach and this comment got my attention. My breasts are being discussed here like a commodity. May I begin by saying that I am a breast cancer survivor and have fought very hard to keep this organ alive and well.”

She also responded to the remarks that said famous people are used to hearing such criticism. They were slammed, she writes

“Well, celebs are humans too. They have emotions like normal humans. They get cancer like normal humans. They survive or succumb like normal humans. So no. NOBODY is “used to” such insensitive remarks about the biggest fight for survival that one fights which has physical as well as emotional repercussions lasting a lifetime.”

Chhavi also talked about the many operations that are carried out following a cancer diagnosis. She added that in order to restore the appearance of her breasts, she underwent restoration surgery. She penned,

“But to help women understand how a BC surgery goes… there’s a lumpectomy (I had it) where they just remove the lump (not the whole breast). There’s mastectomy, where the whole breast is taken out due to the spread of cancer. This happens in advanced stages. (May I also put in a gentle reminder here to get yourself checked timely to avoid this). And there’s reconstruction. I had a reconstruction surgery too to make the breasts look the way they were earlier. This was done by cutting a piece of my latissimus dorsi muscle and creating a mini flap. Silicones may be opted for in case of a mastectomy. And no, I did not need silicones.”

The actress concluded by thanking everyone who supported her in the face of these remarks. She stated,

“I’d like to reiterate that surviving cancer has been a life changing experience for me. This is a new life that I’m living and it’s not the same as the previous one. Its been 7 months and I still have emotional days where I cry about the discomfort that I am subjected to on a daily basis for no fault of mine. But I get by, coz its an honour to own a body that has survived all this and continues to be beautiful day in and day out. Here’s to ALL CANCER SURVIVORS! #breastcancersurvivor. Also, a BIG THANKS to the people who stood up for me against such comments. I can’t tell u how much I appreciate it. Love and peace.”

Chhavi asserted that she was cancer-free in April after a six-hour operation. Later, she shared a number of images on social media showing off her scars while wearing a white bikini. The actress talks about it to inform the public, but she frequently receives offensive comments on social media, which she occasionally takes extremely seriously.

Chhavi Mittal previously revealed why she shares her journey

She explained to the Hindustan Times why she shares her journey by saying,

“The reason why I share my recovery journey is because when I got cancer, everybody told me about the treatment. Nobody told me about life after cancer. I had the maximum number of questions for my doctors about life after cancer. How will my life be after cancer?”

She added,

“It was very important for me to know that. Hence, I share my recovery journey with everybody because people should also know that life after cancer is normal. It can be as normal as you want it to be.”

Chhavi argued that not all malignancies are frightening in response to the pervasive misconception that cancer is a horrible condition.

On the business front, Shitty Ideas Trending (SIT), a digital production company, was established in 2015 by Chhavi and her husband, Mohit Hussein. Chhavi has also made appearances in a number of TV shows, including 3 Bahuraaniya, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Bandini, Naagin, Viraasat, and Krishnadasi.
