CTET Primary Level (Class I to V): Eligibility with Code July 2024

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Completion of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (referred to by any name).
  2. Completion of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and either passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (referred to by any name), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  3. Attainment of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  4. Achievement of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): Eligibility with Code July 2024

  1. Completion of Graduation and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (referred to by any name).
  2. Attainment of at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation, and either passing or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  3. Achievement of Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks, and either passing or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time.
  4. Completion of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  5. Attainment of Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and either passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  6. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks, and either passing or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
  7. Any candidate who has qualified for the B.Ed. A programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Additionally, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
  8. Completion of Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade, and either passing or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

How to Fill CTET July 2024 Exam Online Form

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the release of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Papers I to V & VI to VIII for the July 2024 exam. Candidates can submit their applications online from March 7, 2023, to April 2, 2024.
  • Note: This year, exam centres are limited in every city. Candidates will be able to view live information regarding available exam centres while filling out the form. It is advised for candidates to apply as soon as possible to secure their nearest exam centre/city, as slots are limited.
  • Candidates are urged to read the notification carefully before applying for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) application form for the Central TET CTET Exam for July 2024.
  • Please ensure to check and gather all necessary documents, including eligibility criteria, ID proof, address details, and basic information. Also, prepare scanned documents related to the recruitment form, such as a photo, signature, and ID proof, before applying.
  • Before submitting the application form, it is essential to review all columns carefully. Additionally, candidates must ensure payment of the application fee to complete the submission process. Failure to pay the required application fees will result in an incomplete form.
  • Finally, remember to take a printout of the final submitted form for future reference.
