Deepika Padukone Gets TROLLED For Selling Her Skin Care Products At High Price; ‘If I’m Selling You A Product…’

In 2022, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone launched her skincare line, 82E, to enter the cosmetics industry. Her skincare line has expanded gradually since its inception, adding new products about every three months. The actress seems unaffected by the criticism she’s gotten from the beauty industry regarding the outrageous prices of her goods. She emphasises how crucial it is to sign up as a beta tester for her products.

In an interview with CNBC-TV 18, Deepika Padukone discussed the price hikes for her products, saying, “If I am selling you a Rs 2,500 product, rest assured that I am also using it every day.” Being loyal to our identity and maintaining consistency has allowed us to establish our brand. We will keep doing it since it is how we have built a strong brand over the last year.

“I am the guinea pig,” the actress remarked, confessing that she had been the one to test all the products.

Deepika declared, “I am the first person in the system to try anything, even before it enters dermatological or clinical trials. I give them a try initially. I test things out for at least a week if not more. Depending on my input, it may take up to several months. Once I give the go-ahead, it enters clinical testing.

“And as far as celebrity brands or celebrities, in general, getting backlash or getting trolled, I think as long as you put your head down and you keep going, as long as you are true and honest to what you do, I think you will always move ahead of the tide,” the actress said in a suitable response to her detractors.

Deepika Padukone is now occupied with the production of her upcoming movie, “Fighter.” Her recent cameo in the Shah Rukh Khan film “Jawan” thrilled fans.
