Social media users are furious about a video that shows a biker in Delhi throwing trash on a busy route.
The man was observed riding with a trash can fastened to the back of his bicycle. Then, as he was riding, he shifted the trash can, causing it to flow onto the road.
X user Daveed posted the video and questioned the man’s actions, asking, “Delhi, is this what we’ve come to? In broad daylight, a biker was riding and throwing trash on the road as if it were nothing out of the ordinary. Littering, which is illegal under local legislation, failing to wear a helmet, and breaking the Motor Vehicles Act.
The Delhi Traffic Police saw the tweet and said, “Thank you.” The Area Traffic Inspector has been notified to take the appropriate action.
Social media users reacted angrily to the video as well, with many demanding that the biker be prosecuted. One commenter urged authorities to act quickly, calling the behaviour “shameful behaviour,” “total disrespect for the city we live in,” and a disregard for traffic safety.
Another user pointed out the numerous claimed infractions, such as trash dumping, pollution, and disregarding traffic laws, claiming that the actions annoyed other commuters. In order to deter future infractions, the user demanded that the motorcyclist be imprisoned for three months.
