The seasoned actor posted something on his X on social media in the early hours of March 1, 2024. Dharmendra shared a picture of himself online sporting patterned pyjamas and a black, baggy sweater. The 88-year-old actor was seen lounging on his bed and consuming some late-night munchies. Dharmendra shared the photo and wrote:

“Aadhar raat ho gayi…”Bhook lag jaati hai, neend aati nahin. Bahut sawad lagta hai baasi roti makhan ka saath.

Fans reacted to the post in a hurry as it acquired popularity. A lot of people on the internet were drawn to Dharmendra’s upset look. He was spotted eating dry roti and had a worn-out countenance in the picture. Immediately after, worried online users started sharing their concerns regarding the elderly actor’s health.

In response to a remark, Dharmendra said he had broken his ankle. He also asked his followers to send him prayers and well wishes. Later on, though, he removed the message from his social media profile.

Following 64 years in Bollywood, there were rumours that Dharmendra had changed his name when his last film, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” debuted in theatres. His name was mentioned as Dharmendra Singh Deol in the movie’s credits.

Dharmendra gave an explanation of his decision to renounce his middle name and surname in an interview with Zoom. He took great pride in his last name, “Deol,” which he had used to refer to his kids Bobby and Sunny. But Dharmendra decided to go by his first name alone because in the past, heroes were often referred to by their first names. He declared:
