Dilwale turns six today, so we thought we’d share some fun facts about it. The hit Jodi of the 1990s, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, led many children and teenagers, including actor Varun Dhawan, to assume they were a real-life pair.

Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film Dilwale brought their onscreen connection and charm back to the silver screen. Today is the 6th anniversary of this smash popular film, so we thought we’d share some fun facts about it.

While this film reintroduced us to our favourite ’90s pair, it also reminded us of the new colour of love – Gerua.

The image of the bright orange dupatta floating free amid Iceland’s breathtaking lush green mountain tops, waterfalls, rainbow, and a wrecked plane on a barren place with black sand is still fresh in our minds.

But did you know that during filming it, SRK could have suffered a terrible or even fatal injury? Today, on the 6th anniversary of Dilwale, we take you back to the filming of this much-loved song and discuss the situation.

Shah Rukh Khan could have died during filming the romance number in this Rohit Shetty film if Kajol hadn’t come to his rescue.

In the making-of video (for the song), Kajol spoke up about this incident while talking about their experience shooting the tune.

In Gerua, the actress revealed that they shot a scene below a waterfall in a cave. Shah Rukh Khan could have been gravely harmed during the rehearsal for the love number here, she added.

In the video, the actress claims that while she and SRK were practising, Shah Rukh may have suffered a serious fall from the cliff, which could have been fatal. Fortunately, Kajol clutched SRK’s arm in the nick of time and rescued him from a catastrophic fall.

“I owe you my life,” Shah Rukh Khan tells Kajol in the 7:21 video, “Meri je zindagi ab tumhare naam ho chuki hai (My life is now yours).”

That undoubtedly demonstrates the depth of Shah Rukh and Kajol’s bond. Dilwale, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, also featured Varun Dhawan.

Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Pankaj Tripathi, and others are among the cast members. Upon its initial release, it was deemed a success. Keep an eye on Koimoi for additional updates.
