There are traffic police stations at various sites to make sure drivers abide by the laws and regulations pertaining to road safety. It is their responsibility to issue challans to those who violate these regulations. The traffic police impose fines on anyone who is discovered not wearing a helmet, breaking traffic laws, driving without a license, or driving a car with a missing license plate.

Usually, the threat of fines makes people anxious, but a recent event has gone viral online. After a video of a young woman from Rohtak, Haryana breaking multiple traffic laws went popular online, she chose to make fun of the system rather than take the incident seriously.

Amar Kataria, a police officer, posted a video of the woman imitating Shinchan, and it quickly went viral:

In Rohtak, Haryana, a woman and the traffic police had a humorous but chaotic encounter that was captured on camera by Amar Kataria, a traffic police officer and Instagram digital producer.

In the video, a woman is stopped by a traffic cop for a number of infractions, including driving in the wrong direction, without wearing a helmet, jumping red lights, and shocking by imitating the well-known anime character Shinchan. She even asserted that she was Shinchan Nohara, saying,

The woman’s actions captured people’s attention. She identified herself as “Shinchan Nohara,” imitating the character, and appeared unconcerned by the gravity of the situation.

The video also demonstrated the police officer’s cool-headed and collected demeanour during the interaction. The woman persisted in her jokes and impersonation of Shinchan even after being informed that she would be issued a traffic challan. She even recommended that the police ask her mother to verify her identity.

Here is the viral video

A bystander interrupted, offering to pay the challan on her behalf and pleading with the officer to release her. Kataria, however, refused to let go and jokingly threatened to pursue her if she didn’t wear a helmet, claiming that “Yamraj (the god of death)” might do so.

The girl responds cheekily by asking who “Yamraj” is, suggesting that he may be the father of the policeman. The woman assertively replies that no one can take her because she is “Shinchan Nohara” in response to the officer’s statement that “Yamraj” takes away kids who disobey the regulations.

Netizens’ reactions to the woman and the officer’s light-hearted exchange were mixed:

Numerous users left comments regarding the officer’s response and the girl’s impish demeanour. Many wondered if the officer would have behaved differently if the individual had been a young guy instead of a girl.
