In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, model Hailey Bieber candidly discussed her desire to start a family with her husband Justin Bieber and the reservations she has about it. At 26, she finds herself torn on the decision due to the potential scrutiny any children they have might face in the public eye. Hailey, who grew up as the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, understands the challenges of being in the spotlight, and Justin himself achieved fame at a young age.

Expressing her inner conflict, Hailey shared,

“I literally cry about this all the time! I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.” Despite these concerns, she emphasizes that it hasn’t completely changed her mind, stating, “We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”

Hailey has been open about the challenges of public scrutiny, especially after facing online attention related to her relationship with Justin and the Selena Gomez association. In April, she addressed the online criticism on TikTok and later shared her struggles on Instagram, expressing vulnerability during a challenging time in her adult life.

Reflecting on that period, Hailey explained,

“I just felt like I was going through a lot of uncomfortable growth…Whenever you’re transitioning from one time of your life to another, it’s really uncomfortable and it can be really sad… I was just trying to connect with other people who might feel that way.” She added, “People say, ‘Oh, you think we feel bad for you?’ And I get it. It’s just sad sometimes that that would be how people feel about you wanting to express your emotions.”

Both Hailey and Justin have faced health challenges in the past year, with Hailey discovering she had a heart condition (Patent Foramen Ovale) after suffering a mini-stroke, and Justin being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, leading to partial facial paralysis and the cancellation of tour dates.

Hailey emphasized the importance of speaking up about her health issues, stating, “If you let things like that silence you, you’re allowing people to dictate how you live your life. Sometimes I do just want to curl up and be a hermit, like, ‘If this is how people feel maybe I should just stay home.’ But I’m really not that kind of person.”
