A Macedonian Self-Taught Artist Creates Jaw-Dropping Braids, and Over 200,000 People Are in Awe

Trendafilka Kirova is a Macedonian hair braiding fairy, and just a few years ago, she had a job that was far from hair styling. She could hardly believe that soon her life would totally change with a master’s degree in economics and experience working as an auditor. She is a renowned artist today who designs intricate hairstyles that leave people breathless, and her admirers continue to rise in number.

During the artist’s first pregnancy, it all began as a hobby.

When she was pregnant with her first child, the artist began braiding her own hair. She watched a lot of videos and took inspiration from the works of renowned hair artists, and she made her first simple braid one day. She considered braiding to be very relaxing, and soon she began to learn techniques that were more complex and complicated.

She has a Master’s in Economics degree. She was an accountant and an internal auditor a few years back, but she knew she needed a change and decided to switch careers. She started working as a freelance hairstylist, admitting that she was unable to be happier with that choice.

On Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, the artist finds inspiration, but also adds her own twist to whatever style she does. In the most unexpected locations, such as from a tattoo or a pattern on a rug, she revealed that she can find inspiration. She has trouble getting names for new techniques, which is why she always asks her followers to help her find names for new braid types.

Trendafilka said that she loves her new pull-through fishtail braid when asked to name her favorite style, which is a mix of two of her favorite braids: the pull-through braid and fishtail braid.

It can be super stressful and frightening to change a career direction with 2 small kids, but the artist is very thankful that her husband was there every step of the way for her. He was very helpful and compassionate, and this made the woman even more motivated and creative.
