The Witcher’s renown Despite having acted in numerous personal moments during his career, Henry Cavill dislikes them. The actor revealed his dislike for these kinds of sequences in an interview and gave his justifications.

Why is Cavill not a fan?

Cavill acknowledged that he doesn’t always feel comfortable with naked scenes, saying that they can occasionally appear pointless and overdone in today’s media. He thinks that sometimes it can be better to leave things up to the viewers’ imaginations than to reveal everything clearly on television. While personal sequences can occasionally improve storytelling, Cavill stressed that depending too much on them can make the scenario appear rushed rather than giving the story more depth.

Regarding the matter, he stated, “It’s when you have a sense where you’re going, ‘Is this necessary or is it just people with less clothing on?'” At that point, you start to feel uneasy and begin to consider that this isn’t a performance. Not a single element will continue throughout the remainder of the movie.’”

He went on to say that viewers may begin to wonder about the overall meaning of scenes in a movie that solely consists of physical exchanges. Such situations, he continues, “can help with the storytelling… Most of the time, the human imagination is going to trump it” and are useful for certain storylines. Therefore, if a TV show or movie is just full of gyrating bodies and you’re thinking, “Okay, but what is this doing for us aside from the idea of, Oh naked person, great,” then it might be a bit of a cop-out. “I’m not a fan of doing them,” he says.

Fortunately for the actor, there are no intimate sequences in Vaughn’s upcoming film Argylle. Rather, it’s an intense spy thriller in which Cavill portrays Argylle, the main spy. The plot centres on a reclusive author (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) whose works reveal the inner workings of a global crime syndicate, drawing her into a real-life espionage adventure.
