All-party delegations are travelling to countries all over the world to fortify diplomatic ties as part of India’s post-Operation Sindoor outreach. Recently, a team headed by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi travelled to Spain. When a reporter enquired about India’s national language during the visit, Kanimozhi’s flawless yet perceptive response won hearts.
As the head of the team to Spain, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi affirms that “India’s national language is University in Diversity.”
India is home to numerous languages, civilisations, faiths, and customs. Every region, from Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh and from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, contributes a distinct personality, but they are all a part of the same country. This amazing diversity is a strength rather than a problem. Above all, acknowledging and embracing this reality is essential to preserving India’s identity.
During her visit to Spain, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi beautifully repeated this potent idea of unity in difference.

A member of the Indian diaspora in Madrid questioned her about India’s national language while she was leading an all-party delegation as part of India’s post-Operation Sindoor worldwide outreach. She answered without hesitation,
“The national language of India is unity in diversity.”
The auditorium erupted in applause for her composed yet powerful response.
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi stated that India is an advocate of peace rather than war in response to terrorism:
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi further clarified the myths about India, particularly in the international narrative, during her speech in Spain. She told everyone that the diaspora can be extremely important in spreading the truth about what India really stands for, which is peace. She voiced concern about how problems like terrorism and violence frequently overshadow the nation’s true concerns and objectives.
“So much has to be done in our country, and we want to do that. Unfortunately, we are being diverted.”
By doing this, she demonstrated that India’s priorities continue to be development, harmony, and peaceful advancement.
She also reminded everyone that the principles of non-violence, or “Ahimsa,” which served as the cornerstone of our independence struggle, are the foundation of India.
“The world does not need a war.”
India, she continued, prefers peace to violence.
She firmly assured the audience that attempts to destabilise areas like Kashmir will fail and that India is a safe place.
“They may try whatever they want, they cannot derail us. We will ensure that India and Kashmir remains a safe place.”
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi’s message of hope and courage is becoming widely shared.
Take a look at it,
“You wanted to know about National Language. I think the National Language of India is Unity and Diversity.”

As part of India’s diplomatic outreach after Operation Sindoor, an all-party team headed by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi travelled to five different countries. Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain were among the nations visited. The visit to Spain is the last of the five countries.
MPs from a number of political parties were part of the group, including former diplomat Manjeev Singh Puri, Ashok Mittal (AAP), Brijesh Chowta (BJP), Rajeev Kumar Rai (Samajwadi Party), and Prem Chand Gupta (RJD).
