For one woman, though, this is not the case. Her partner complains about how horrible she stinks on a regular basis. The woman posted to Reddit under the handle @ThrowRa-doistink, asking why her partner continues telling her she has body odour. However, the same woman, who keeps impeccable cleanliness, received the answer from her boyfriend himself not long after.
A lady recently stated on Reddit that her boyfriend tells her she stinks every day. However, a dramatic twist later exposed the true cause for his actions.
“Boyfriend won’t stop telling me I have B.O.,” the caption read.
Many people suggested that she may have illusionary sensors that cause her boyfriend to believe he smells something after reading about her circumstance. Or perhaps he was attempting to manipulate her. One person suggested that if he says that every day, regardless of the cause, they aren’t compatible and should break up as soon as possible.
One individual speculated that her boyfriend was saying it to avoid intimacy or to have ultimate control over her.
In an unexpected turn of events, the woman disclosed she had decided to confront him about his remarks.
Her boyfriend, it turns out, learned how to emotionally abuse and manipulate women into having poor self-esteem, which makes them less inclined to betray. His father, in particular, used to tell his mother she smelled bad, believing it was a sure-fire way to get a lady who would never leave you, would only love you, and would always be clean.
One Medical’s M.D., Dr. Navya Mysore, noted that people generally enjoy their partner’s scent, which is linked to pheromones and used by animals for mating. The “love hormone” is another name for it. “When we recognise the scent of a loved one, oxytocin, a hormone and neurotransmitter involved in birthing and breastfeeding, is released.” She gave an explanation.
