There’s no disputing that Bollywood is popular not just in India, but also in other areas of the world, where moviegoers enjoy seeing top Indian performers entertain them in films.
Look at the wild applause and roars of Shah Rukh Khan’s supporters lining up outside in other nations everytime he makes a public appearance.
I mean, Shah Rukh Khan is one of the rare actors who can have the entire Burj Khalifa wishing him a happy birthday by displaying his image on the world’s tallest structure.
Another actor with a rabid fan base outside of India is Bollywood’s hottie Hrithik Roshan, who is recognised for his Greek-god-like features and is immensely popular among women from all over the world.
Shah Rukh and Hrithik are so popular that even their wax statues receive a lot of love, almost literally.
Yes, you read that correctly. According to historical sources, Shah Rukh and Hrithik’s wax sculptures at London’s famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum were among the Top 10 Most Kissed Statues.
In fact, Hrithik’s popularity among tourists from all over the world was so high that the Bang Bang actor even outperformed Shah Rukh, who had previously been included in the Top 10 Most Kissed list.
According to a DNA article, Hrithik beat out numerous well-known Hollywood actors to make the list, with about 80% of those kissing the statue being women and children, and the rest being a mix of males of various ages.
“Every year, Madame Tussauds publishes a list of the top ten most kissed statues in their museum. SRK’s statue was among the top ten last year. However, the formal press release for this year has yet to arrive. According to their survey, Hrithik is among the top ten most kissed statues,” a source told DNA in 2013.
According to the insider, Hrithik was included on the list because of his general s*x appeal.
“Girls and kids like him, and his global popularity has grown as a result of his reality programme, as well as the fact that kids adore him as Krrish and girls adore him for his s*x appeal.” “I believe this is the first time a statue has been among the top ten most kissed waxworks in its first year,” the person said.
Hrithik will next be seen in Vikram Veda, which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte, and Shah Rukh in Pathan, which also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Salman Khan.
