You’ve probably heard tales about how some people came by their given names. Some sound more extravagant than others, while others sound less thrilling. However, you are unlikely to have heard of using your own child’s name as a cover-up for an affair.
“I feel like most people who are named after someone have a lovely storey behind it or they’re called after somebody extremely wonderful… that is not the case for me,” an American woman began her narrative while holding a can of beer.
Kristina, who goes by the handle @keepingitkristina on TikTok, tells the tale behind her name.
The parents had an excellent relationship at this stage. They agreed that if the baby is a girl, he will name her, and if the baby is a boy, she will name him. Because of problems, the mother had to have a C-section and spend the rest of her pregnancy in bed.
As a result, her father completed the paperwork and announced her name: Kristina.
“When my mother came to, I think she didn’t really dislike the name, so she just kind of went with it, and everything was good for a few months until…” Kristina said.
The plot twist is as follows: “My mother discovered that my father was having an affair… and guess who the woman was? Kristina.”
Why have you gone to such lengths? “That way, if he made a mistake and called her the wrong name, he could claim he was referring to me.”
